In the 3.40 at York, I have no idea why Mecca's Angel is shorter than Limato.  I can see Limato hasn't gone over 5 before, but he burst clear 2 out last time, so 5 can't be a problem really.

If we can get 9/2 with betfred, please put £50 on the nose (bigger than betfair).

cheers

Edit. think it must have been a price boost, it is now 7/2 with fred.

You can have £25 win with me at 9/2 if you say yes in 5 minutes.

yes

its 4/1 best everywhere else

booked.  Guess the 365 price will go soon too.

Stan James are way out of line tonight with their odds on Nathan Redmond FGS/AGS 16/1 & 13/2 respectively.

Can help thread get on if wanted, I know Soton are dogs but no reason to think he won't play, those odds have to be much too big?

Not sure if this got missed on the bottom of the last page...

didn't miss it but was hoping for opinions. happy to do the Redmond anytime part (£15-20) unless there are dissenting voices

---

on 23rd jan man u went off evens at home v southampton, and lost 1-0

much has changed since (with the assumption that man u are more attacking of course)

man u go off 1/2 tonight southampton 13/2 fwiw

The anytime looks good to me.

Expecting Saints to get turned over tonight mind you. Still adjusting to the new formation, no Bertrand and doubts over Fonte with fitness and transfer rumours.

Redmond similar price on the machine after comm

Plus that market will get more competitive near quick off. Be surprised if you can't get 20s first at some point

Stan certainly not out of line no view on the bet either way but the fact he is playing up front has not been missed

Just a few other thoughts.

Flash Fire was carrying 9 pounds more than Librisa Brieze last time and was beaten 2.5 lengths or so.  I can see the winner was impressive looking, but not sure I'd have such a big gap in odds.  Hence backed Flash Fire each way.

Supposedly 2 year olds get too much weight in the Nunthorpe, or that is what I used to be told.  With that in mind, I have backed Yalta at 14 on the exchange win only.  I can see it finishing out the back too, so have ducked the place bet.

I got caught out two in a 17 runner handicap that went off with 15 on Tuesday (guess nobody else noticed because we won), so won't be looking at the last until later.

Thrown pennies win only in the Cowell 2 year old. Doesn't look good enough to be here tbh but Cowell unlikely to be running it here for fun. Could do with a bit of rain arriving pre race

Ok,  had to do this one too.  Didn't Out Do used to be a York specialist?  Couldn't resist 180 in the circumstances.  #losingit

Last horse nowhere.

Linato 9/2 -> 2/1.  Got something right.

Morning Tighty.

Next week is the challenge cup final between Hull and Warrington, this is relevant because teams playing in it have a poor record in the week before. I couldn't oppose Hull as they were playing a poor Catalans side at home, but today Warrington host Castleford. Castleford have beaten both Wigan and Hull in the last month and the poor weather will also affect Warringtons ability for a quick expansive game.

Suggest £20 Castleford @ 2-1 with Coral or Hills.

Anyone wanting a try scorer bet should back Kallum Watkins for Leeds @ 10/11 with Ladbrokes.

Tighty is AWOL today, think he has gone to watch The Arsenal, & worship at the feet of Arsene the Great.

So I've got the office keys today, be gentle please. I'll be online until around Noon, then disappearing, so if you have anything for Fred, the earlier the better please. Even if Fred misses stuff, it does not matter, keep it coming, everyone benefits.

Enjoy your Saturday.

Morning Mr hector,

Does the "62" in your alias suggest you were born in 1962? Same age as me, if so.

Thanks for the bet, we are ON, £20 @ 2/1, Catstleford, with that nice Mr Hill.

7/1 the field in today's Ebor, with plenty of quarter odds & 5 places available. Impossible to have a bad bet, sure I read that somewhere.

4pm start, so I'll try & get back online around 3.30 to pick up any late suggestions.

The weekly "Free Tip" on Betting Emporium is by Mr Channing this week, & he works through the field & tries to find a bit of value in The Ebor today.

The one he picks out as the best value is.....oh, wait - go to Betting Empoorium.com to have a read.
