the aim for the quick guys is to do Q2 on softs, start on them and minimise risk of the early pit stop because the supersofts only last a lap?
so run soft-medium and one stop?
Due to lap length, the supersoft thermal deg. is not as critical as in Belgium, you can squeeze the supersofts out to 14 laps or so. Doing Q2 on softs is an option for the guys at the front, but Mercedes have such a huge margin here that there's no real need to do a contra-strategy. The one person we could see do this is Sebastian .. but the simulations don't show a huge difference between the one and two stop strategies anyway. |

Hills and 365 are going 5 places in the 2.40 at Ascot.
Suggest 25 e/w on Firmament (13/2) and Dutch Law (12/1)
Firmament has been very progressive and won nicely last time. It is bigger elsewhere, but Hills are 5 places. Dutch Law has a master trainer, 5lb claimer, is young and has a very impressive record over 7. Place terms obviously fantastic on both.

Weather forecast looks dreadful. Hadn't checked today. Probably best to ignore. Best look at Ascot. Few 16 runner handicaps about, though I would avoid Haydock. Going now soft at Haydock. Ho hum And Limato out |

Can we do 25 e/w with hills on Mustallib in the 4.10 at ascot at 9/1. Young and hasn't done much losing yet. Place terms good.
Hills seem to be referring all my bets to the trader right now. Guess that is a legacy of the 3 places f1 bets. They have only restricted maybe 20% of recent bets. This happening to anyone else? Obviously it is preferable to the ludicrous 1%ers.
