It was initially a VSC but very swiftly the safety car came on track. Was most definitely a safety car.
Ok. I haven't seen it. It was reported as a VSC on the BBC.

I also saw the safety car, I think it went from virtual to a real safety car early on

I've got £25 for Fred with Lads if Fred wants it!
Nothing confirmed for Fred the final WSOP hand so will keep it for myself (which is of course fine!)
Hope some people managed to get some money on...

Initially a VSC, converted to a SC due to Wehrlein's stranded Manor.
Also, Ricciardo got the podium due to post race penalties.
Verstappen 4th, Vettel 5th.

I did actually lob a tenner on the SC (I rarely bet on any sports), will PP make the correction or will I need to call them to sort it out?

Give them a quick nudge on the live chat if they haven't amended already

Do they settle on the podium though? Bookies would have paid on Vettel by the time the change was announced? I was too slow with Vettel and nobody laid my offer on betfair, so am neutral.
If it were a horse race, I think you'd only get paid on Ricciardo by goodwill, so guess it depends on the bookie?

I had a live chat conversation with PP last night, and they would still not pay out. They seem to have had a change of heart overnight though, and have now paid out.

Melbourne Cup has 24 runners but with a load of rags and some books paying 5 places it looks good for an EW bet
Nothing I can add form wise that isn't easily available on the internet but Almandin is lightly raced, in form, who has a course win last time out - Like everything else in the race this has been the plan all year. He's never run over 2m which might seem like negative but has lots of stamina in pedigree and may well improve for step up
Stall 17 is ok if not ideal.
12.5 to back on BF, you can get 11/1 5 places with koral or baldy so place terms look good
Recommend 25ew @ 11/1
Welcome any other thoughts from anyone on the race?

I never get the race even close to correct
However as we know getting five places makes any bets almost certainly good ones
If anyone lucky enough to have a sky ac they are 6 places
