Spurs favourites vs Chelsea
Pffft

meh joint favourites.  Looks to be priced about right with Spurs at home?

Hull favourites vs Swansea in the FA Cup on Saturday.  Hull are at home.  The thing in Hull's favour is they can't have enough reserves to switch the whole team, where as Swansea probably do.   Guess we are sweating the team news.

What prices would it be reversed?

ask Arb; he is better than me at this.  Something like 1.75/1.8 Chelsea.  Chelsea will be about a goal better at home, feels about even away.

Tennis.

Cibulkova, our lady from Slovakia is through to the quarters. Her opponent from China, Zhang, played an amazing match but just ran out of steam in the final set. Cibulkova actually played quite well so I feel good about the bet. Zhang is one to keep an eye on.

Cibulkova faces unseeded Cornet next. Should be straighforward. The semis is where it should get tough.

Slightly shorter around 4/6-8/11.

If you think Chelski are that much better than Spurs then i would be backing them to win the league at 4/6 instead.  Less variance.  Probably a better way to attack it.  The scheduling advantage they have with no Europe is just going to get bigger and bigger as the season rolls on as their players become relatively more and more fresh compared to the majority of their rivals (other than Liverpool).  They are less tired and are less likely to suffer injuries etc etc.

The porn barons must be living in cloud cuckoo land if they think they are going to buy Defoe for anywhere near £6m surely?  I couldn't imagine Sunderland being willing to sell for even £20m in this window.  He must be more important to Sunderland relatively than any other player is to his side in the EPL surely?

They haven't rotated a lot though
I'm wary about the back up of injuries

You don't need to rotate when you only play once a week.  They even run like god scheduling wise over xmas with the most rest of any team in the EPL between their 3 games bar none.  The less you play and the bigger the rest periods are between the games you play the less likely you are to suffer injuries so they have an advantage there over every other team as well as the huge points gap they have already inflicted.  4/6 looks a big price to me.  Scousers would probably need to score 100 goals to win the league given how bad their defence is.

After tonight Chelsea only have to play 2 of the top 6 away for the rest of the season (liverpool and Man U) in the league.  They play their other two nearest rivals apart from Liverpool at home (Arsenal and Man City) and they have still to play the entire bottom 5 at home (and Watford who are playing like a bottom 5 club currently). They are going to be 1/5 or shorter for 33% of their remaining league games.  They have been gifted the league title imo.

I'm getting a little concerned that the frenetic Xmas schedule for PL games is open to some degree of skulduggery if not outright buggery.

I think there should be a minimum 72-hour period between games and let them work out their schedule on that premise.

It can't be that hard.

liverpools defence is looking far far better recently, only conceded 1 goal from open play in last 5 matches, man city and arsenal have only conceded 1 goal less than pool in the prem this season.

On perusing the teamsheet spu*s appear to be matching up and playing three at the back this evening at home to chelski.

Might that make it a little tighter game than we/I were/was expecting?

1-0, 0-1, 0-0 worth a dabble?

Amazed Chelsea are still 4/6 for the title.....they are steamrolling and could have it wrapped up by March. Lack of European football is such a benefit (for the squad, not the club)
