Annie Power will miss the Cheltenham Festival after picking up a leg injury at home, Willie Mullins has revealed.
Hopefully we will have the beginnings of a festival ante-post book soon?

Fleetwood.
Vardy was going to Arsenal and Fleetwood were getting 25% of it, whioch would quadruple their playing budget.
Vardy probably wishes he had gone and we have a bet for the wrong reasons that has a shot going into February.
Funny old game
I knew there was a reason, and that it hadn't come about. Thanks for saving me checking back.
Good to get a bit of a sweat out of it - I'd written my small bet off...

Basketball.
Boston are second to the Raptors in their division. Two games behind but played a game more. Still in with a shout but they have suffered from injuries. When they have had their starting five on the court they have played well and won most of their matches. But Bradley (one of their best shooters and best defensive players) is out with a niggly hamstring problem at the moment and they really need to make a trade to get a big rebounder as they are still soft in the middle. Isiah Thomas their pint sized point guard is having an amazing season. Summary, in with a shot.
The Spurs really have the best coach in basketball. He is managing their veterans and giving them rest time and days off and rotating them to keep them fresh. Certainly they can beat the top teams in a one off match, but whether they can beat Golden State in a best of 7 series is another question. Leonard started the season hot but has cooled off a bit. Draymond Green of the Warriors is also having an excellent season and is in the mix for defensive player of the year and it is probably between those two.
Spurs are currently seeded to face the Rockets in the Western semi finals. Rockets have had a way above expectation season and James Harden has really led the team fantastically. Unfortunately for our bet he has played as an all around player getting assists and rebounds too rather than just being a pure scorer. The other problem for our bet is despite the great season he is having, Russell Westbrook is having an even greater season. We need Westbrook to really take it easy if we are going to win this bet and I am not sure that's going to happen. He has just been immense so far.

Towns definitely in the hunt for all NBA team selection but he will need to improve. None of his rivals at the centre positon are having stellar seasons. They are all showing some level of inconsistency. He will need to up his game though as his team the Timberwolves have been largely disappointing.

Congrats. Nearly my 10000th post as well. I have caused a lot of the heart ache and caused a lot of the profits on TFT. It would be nice if we could all put some water under the bridge and move on. My way of saying sorry to the boys i have pissed off. I am happy to do it if everyone else is. TFT is blonde nowadays. Let's use the 5th bday to kick start it.
Here here.

Lets have a 5th anniversary Lucky 15 with tips from arbboy, hector, adzy and Mere.

Ha, that'd be the best birthday pressie ever. Thanks Keith, as Father of Fred that should count for a lot.
Adzy & hector read blonde every day & I am in contact with both of them regularly. Both suggest they may return at some stage, & now seems a good a time as any.
Mere is more difficult, as he is old, & I find that old people are ridiculously stubborn. I cba with them myself, but Mere would be the icing on the cake, as that means we could get the Forum Comps back for Super Bowl, Cheltenham, The Masters, Royal Acsot etc. I'll drop him a note & see if I can catch him on a good day.

It has become pretty hard with Mullins playing his games, and that forces many others to stop committing too.
In addition, I looked at the Cotswold last night. Currently 11 runners, so there us a chance it goes off with less than 8 including the odds on "sure thing". 8 bookies in the list are offering quarter first two already. All these little edges seem to be going.
And if you do get through this and get an antepost good thing that starts at half your odds, there is a good chance you lose your account.
Betfair is no better, you just get laid at times like this. 1.01 someone got word and hoovered up all the Annie Power Cheltenham bets before the announcement.

Yup, it's difficult, but Fred used to spring to life around Super Bowl & Cheltenham, so we gotta try.
Mind you, I aged about 20 years when Dubai & Mr Channing were telling us to bet the max on almost every horse in that Cheltenham opener in 2012.....
