could we take some of the last bit of 25-1 available about Marco Fu for the crucible please?

provisionally ranked 6 after winning the Scottish Open and semi finals of the UK Champs and Masters

He has re-tooled his game substantially, much more aggressive now  Whereas previously he was good "in the balls" he lacked some of the shot making of the top few and couldn't go toe to toe with the big boys. thats changed this season.

In the Scottish,  Fu made 11 centuries and 21 more breaks over 50 in seven matches, just to give a recent example of the benefits of his different approach.

The worlds are wide Open, at least 10 you could make an argument for and Ronnie is going to be a dangerous late-seed floater in the draw. At 25-1 i think Fu is a definite contender. He made the semis at the crucible last year with his more "conservative" game, only losing 17-15 to Selby.

the world grand prix is on now, followed by the Welsh and China Opens. A deep run in any of these three and 25-1 will be a thing of the past

in the current world grand prix he is second favourite in his half and has a dream draw in a very lopsided tournament

Recommend £15 E/w Fu 2017 Worlds 25-1 Sp'gbet.

Does anyone else get bored of Shearer and Savage saying 'they have the best sports scientists blah blah they should be able to play 3 games a week'?   It isn't about whether you can play 3 games a week you dinosaurs.  It is whether you can play at 100% for all three games.  In their era you only had to stay sober all week to have a huge scheduling edge over your rivals.  Times have changed boys deal with it, admit it.  You can play 7 games a week if you only want to operate at 50%.  how have the BBC locked up lolshearlolz for another five years of his garbage on a monster contract.  I would rather listen to Merson (everyone knows he is on the show for lolz) than Shearer.  It is incredible how much of a dinosaur he is.

Quite.  And also in the old days the first 12/13 players were head and shoulders above the others.  When suddenly even Watford can rotate in Doucoure, Okaka, Success, Amrabat, Britos etc then I'd like to see a team try and play the same lineup 3 times a week on a long term basis.

Say what you like about Shearer - he still puts on a lovely telephone-voice accent when he says "superb".

Agree.

Been down this route before with Shearer. Yet he said as a player:  "You can't expect a player to be in peak condition playing 3 games a week ......"   On this link at 34:50:

A lock at 6, a second cap at seven, a player with five caps at 8

Haskell and Wood only good for 30 minutes each on the bench

up against Warburton, Tipuric and Moriaty having been smacked all over Twickenham by Picamoles and co

Any love for Wales at 15/8 in Cardiff this Saturday?

Any thoughts on Barney at 1.75ish? I make him a solid favourite against the inconsistent Belgian.

Up to £200 on draw at 7/2.  This is a flip game.   Would be happy laying Lewis at the prices as well to get draw onside that way as well.

He is a very solid fav.  He is a 4/9 shot DNB.  How much shorter do you make him against Kim for 8/11 to be a bet with a draw included?

Might not even be a flip
