Okay, pre-Bahrain GP bets:

Race Winner - Lewis Hamilton @ 11/10 with various. Starts second on the grid, and while I do think yesterday was a turning point in the season with Valtteri beating Lewis for the first time this season in qualifying, I still believe Lewis should have a decent margin over a race distance at this stage. Happy to takes over EVS. Suggest £40.

https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/bahrain-grand-prix/winner

Points Finish - Sergio Perez
@ 7/5 with the exchange (11/8 minimum). Starts down in 18th, but he should be comfortably quicker than a number of cars ahead. I see him getting up to 12th with ease .. will be a close battle from that point onwards. 7/5 is too good to turn down. Suggest £20.

Not To Finish The Race - Daniel Ricciardo & Max Verstappen
@ (both) 5/1 with 365/Hills/Coral. Renault do have concerns about their engine's ability to deal with the heat of the dessert .. this will be exaggerated on the Red Bull cars where packaging is tighter. Suggest £10 on both.

Thanks as always Peter.

I don't want to trifle with you, and I wouldn't normally point something like this out, but your typo did make me chuckle

Do you watch BTCC?

Wow. Credit where it's due, good spot. Extremely rare for a pedant like me to make an error  Roll Eyes How disappointing! I apologise.

I watch the highlights of BTCC races, but am not an active follower.

Any love for seb to be leading after lap 1? Starts on the clean side and tends to get away better than the Mercedes?

That market is not being offered today as far as I can see, although perhaps your question wasn't specifically betting related. Last season Ferrari had a much better car off the line than Mercedes, but I don't believe we've seen that this season yet, so I'm not sure it's still relevant. It is certainly possible, but no more likely than the previous two races I would suggest.

Saw it on skybet at 5/1, appreciate that it's not been as prominent this season so far, but was pretty pronounced in the formula 2 race so was tempted by it!

TheDazzler's Tottenham bet at 11-1 has legs again.

Otherwise, the awful Poshies will be turning up with their bucket and spade mentality at the home of the Wombles tomorrow.

Doesn't matter who starts, McCann is still in charge and Ardley's team talk will be simple. "Remember how we outmuscled them at their place? Well go do the same again. They're completely gone at the game and will give up after a few minutes. Powederpuff ^%$&^**Y^."

3-1 half-time full-time Wombles Wombles the bet.

There's a Grand National tomorrow(Irish) and so I have to chuck a couple of darts at it.

I like to make my selections on the back of what I have seen, and what I know, and then, have a look at the strong trends for the race, to give me extra confidence.

The Irish national has some quite strong trends, and thankfully my darts have landed in the right trends horses to boot.

Horses that have run at Aintree last, dont do well.

Horses carrying less than 10.13 have won 16 of the last 17 races.

All of the last 17 winners were 10 or younger.

Nearly all recent winners have WINS over 3m+

They have run in the last two months.

I found it hard to believe Alpha Des Obeaux was carrying under 11 stone. He didnt do as well as I hoped at Cheltenham, but it was returning after breaking blood vessels over Christmas. At 25-1, I can give him one last chance for the only horse to get close to Thistlecrack in last years Stayers Hurdle.

Arbre de Vie was running a cracker in the 4miler when seemingly slipping on the flat 3 out. He is available at 20-1

Finally General Principle ticks all the trends boxes and looks on the recent improve. Bryan Cooper had a choice of 14 possible Giggy Mounts, he went for this one. He is 20-1.

£10 ew on each. More if you feel. GL

Cheers Adz I will have a little on those.

And thank you to whoever recommended Tiger Roll at 33-1, it's now in to 17.0 on the exchange. When I struck this in the Coral shop their e/w terms were 1/4 top 4. Now I see they are 1/5 top 6 so are the updated terms the ones that will apply to my bet?

Nope, you'll get what it was when you placed it.

This 1/5 bit is an annoying trend, so def try to get paid if you are 5th or 6th (and obv insist on 1/4 odds if in first four).

Why should I try and get paid on terms we never agreed?  I have a great bet on the terms they gave.  I'd be first on the blower if choral tried to change the terms on a bet I made.  It is hard enough to keep accounts as it is without getting inappropriately arsey.

Yeah right and Coral won't try to give some people 1/5 who are entitled to 1/4?  You seriously think I would suggest this, if I wasn't utterly certain they will try to rip-off some punters?  and its a shop bet so the "account" isn't an issue

Because the bookies always try to screw us at every opportunity! I will certainly give it a shot if top 6 so thanks for the advice. I lost my online account with these lot a while ago, this was a shop bet.
