Good on them for going their own way, even though the overrounds are pretty terrible.

They're also standout prices about the Wobblers and Fleetwood in L1, but I'd say you're right to be cautious with this mob. End of the footy season about a flip imo.

I didn't put it up. But I would most certainly question the bet & also why this hasn't been posted on here already. Sunderland have been in freefall and financially struggling for sometime. Literally amazed it wasn't posted on here earlier.

Whilst I've backed it, I can still see them staying up, far too many poor teams in the league.

Or in other words

Ive got 33-1, nah, nah. Wasn't it a great bet I told no one about, cant believe you idiots didnt spot it.

Now you fools are trying to get on at a stupid price, I wouldnt touch.

However, just to cover my back, Im not sure it will even win...

Guy I follow on twitter (Darren Pearce https://nonleaguetipsblog.wordpress.com/2017/07/31/ante-post/amp/  ) Reckons Dulwich without Billericay At 9/2 Top 3 1/4 is his best non league pre season bet. Any views?

Had a couple of quid on the 100/1 Billericay FA Trophy as well. Would imagine the prices are not far off with Alan Alger involved at Betway who are the only ones priced up.

On another note does anyone think with all the talk being about Billericay and their owner/manager signings and wage bill that at the current price their is room for laying them. Could all go tits up if there is no team work couldn't it? Too many big names for the team and a seemingly controlling owner/manager?

Don't know to much about it personally, apologise if already discussed.

Dulwich are my local side and I'd  be shocked if they don't finish in the top four. The should be a league higher already - as the article says they've lost in the playoff final for the past two seasons. They've lost only one regular starter from last season by choice, with one of the strikers, leaving for a full-time side. One of the centre-halves was released, but has been replaced by a signing from Maidstone so there should be no drop off.

having been around the non league scene a whileand seen a few of these - Rushden, canvey island, hornchurch, all throw money at it and fizzle out

- where is the money from?
- how sustainable is it?
- how committed is the owner?

they have Konchesky (5 kids, expensive lifestyle), O'Hara (expensive divorce) and Pennant (er,expensive habits) as the bulk of a £30k a week budget

none of those in their own right are going to propel the team through the leagues, all are looking to prolong a career earning a wedge until the inevitable happens and the real world smacks them in the face

pending your answers to the questions above, i would be usuallly sceptical of these non league stories.

I was after opinion on Crewe to get promoted a few weeks back at 10/1 (40s for the league) (Although as skinny as 13/2 for relegation as well...) They were much improved after changing manager last year and have some fight and spirit back into the club, I know a lot of fans had stopped going as there seemed no belief from the players that they could win week in, week out. They signed a 15-20 goal a season league 2 striker Chris Porter from Colchester (16 last year), and have added some experience to their usual youthful look. Michael Raynes from Carlisle is a good defender at that level, and they also picked up Eddie Nolan a defender from Blackpool.

In a league where ~10 points usually covers 15 odd teams in the middle, does he think the new signings and better coaching this time around can make a big enough difference to push them into at least the top 7?

Or am I just being an over-ambitious homer?

Would also like to know why Mansfield are the favs for the division (I'll admit I don't follow football as much as I used to, but that seems out of nowhere, there's obviously reasons somewhere)

think the problem might be there's simply no knowledge of Crewe to give a supportive or dissenting opinion....

however at 40-1 and 10-1 to go up there might not need to be

Mansfield. the lovely steve evans, a high profile chairman, big turnover of players. the sexy pick in a weaker division (?) than last year.

For information.
Crewe along with Forest Green put up by Sporting Life for promotion and on handicaps.

Leatherhead have made some good signings, better class then their division. Don't know enough about the rest of their team to tip either way though.

As you and others have mentioned, Billericay look like a prime example of a 'project' that will go tits up sooner or later.

Wlb over on twitter had a bit on Crewe as well saying they've improved but they're hard to call. He went safer with 6/4 to finish top half.

Wow what a dream team.  I wondered where Pennant had ended up.  Assumed he was still in the far east.

Looks like they will fit in fine with the club's owner.  Can only imagine the owners wife (Bliss!) will fit in perfectly with all the wags these three will bring in tow as well.  Alice will be in her element finally moving to the heart of Essex with Jermaine!

Seems a slightly different set up to Rushden and Diamonds rise to fame.  The only interesting job i ever had as a trainee accountant was auditing R&D in their boom years.

https://www.blacktype.bet/sportsbook/SOCCER/EN_D1/

Arron clearly has one believer out there!   Blacktype have gone crazy this morning and put Sunderland in at 5/1 to go down (1/10 to stay up - offering the other side to it)  Fair play to them.  Not sure i would trust them enough to be around in May to have a £10k to £1k on though.  They even make Sheff Wed 15/2 2nd fav for the outright (ahead of Villa).  Is arron head of football trading at Blacktype?  That is the real question.

https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/relegation

To say they are taking a view on the ante post markets is somewhat of an understatement.  Being the cynic that i am (and seen it before with other mickey mouse newcomers over the years) using the ante post markets offering crazy prices to help out their cash flow for a few months before they go pop.  Step carefully would be my advice.  Shame as i would love to back several of their prices ante post.

This Black Type outfit for sure do look very interesting in their approach, as Arb pointed out they have some very opinionated positions on the football .

In the premiership outright they are basically wanting to lay Man Utd and Arsenal  and are very short the rest   https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/winner

In the relegation market they are wanting to lay the three promoted teams and are very short the rest             https://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/relegation

Their book is so weighted it does make you think if the results go the wrong way purely on these two markets whether they will still be around  ?.  That said I've done a bit of digging and  the company seems to be well structured with a proper board of which Mylo Sangster  is heavily involved ( great grandson of Robert Sangster the racehorse supremo )

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2016/aug/25/betting-black-type-bet-

Also they are only taking bets from the UK at present so if they did have a "boom or bust " strategy wouldn't the plan be to take as many bets as possible from around the world ?

Thoughts  ?

You can't really read anything into that, Fraser.

Regulation is now rife, right across the globe, & it's quite difficult to get Gaming Licences in other jurisdictions. They currently hold a Gaming Licence in the UK, but not anywhere else.

Corals really are a bunch of jokers.

Popped into the shop to back a couple of Championship goalscorers, had to ring up for prices which were agreeable,so asked cashier to do me a ticket for £10 EW on each.

"Sorry, that market is win only"

WTF.

Good job Betfred are only 100 yards away.
