Laddies above...this is Wlliam Hill

        Deficit       1/100
        NHS       1/10
        Brexit       3/10
        Railcard       1/2
        British People       6/5
        Housing Crisis       2/1
        Donald Trump       4/1

Meanwhile, in the Northern Ireland snooker, Ronnie is at his flamboyant and outrageous best, racing to a 2-0 lead inside 17 minutes. Ronnie's average time per shot is 12 seconds.

With any luck, the best of 7 will be done and dusted before the CL football starts.

You can watch it live on Eurosport, though switch over between frames unless you want your ears and intelligence insulted by Colin Murray.

He must have a fair chance of moneying in this.

The tikay bok is in fine fettle.

2-1

2-2, and Ronnie gets rattled by a cameraman.

Emergency value at 5/1?

Emergency...

...funding
...tax
...cover
...services
...care
...relief

You're always live with this one.

Can we parlay these? Not related are they? Bit optimistic, probably.

All in on blue. A quick google image search, it wouldn't surprise me if the man slept in a blue tie. Assume we get paid out on bluey teal and blue and white spots.

Just to let everyone know I'm across the Wichita State updates, the Shockers were much more solid in seeing off Marquette (traditionally a much better side than Cal) today. They advance to the Maui Tournament final where they may meet Notre Dame in what would be the first real test of their Championship credentials, albeit early in the year.

Wichita State started out in an uncharacteristically sloppy mood, taking bad shots, giving up bad turnovers and failing to control the perimeter although Colman was in can't miss mode. However, Gregg Marshall showed his coaching prowess in switchingd to a full court press and Cal struggled to cope, allowing the Shockers to grind back from their 18 point second half deficit to ultimately stretch out to 10 point winners.

Not the best of performances but they'll learn more from battling through adversity than they will running up the score every week. Next game is tonight at 6:30 and they'lll need to be on their game from the start in order to progress against Marquette.

As it happens, I looked up Greg Marshall on Wiki, as I was watching his animated Conte-style antics on the sidelines.

Wiki said......

He is the winningest head coach in Wichita State University history

winningest

Ugh at what the USA is doing to our wonderful language. What must Tal think?

There seems to have been a directive at the Beeb to use the word "across" for some inexplicable reason....

"We'll keep you across all football action tonight"

Just wtf does this mean? And what's so wrong about keeping us "up to date"?

Sorry teeks, but it's not just the yanks that are butchering our language.

Up to date? Shall we have them in the loop as well? Get them synergised, perhaps?

Informed, aware, apprised...or maybe they could just tell us the score.

  thumbs up

If Jesse Lingard is booked tonight he misses the dead final group match through suspension.
