Hawkins gets it over the line. I think he was 4-1 down at one point as well!

Cao is handy. Finalist in the Scottish Open (lost 9-8 to Robertson), lost in the final in Gibraltar last month to Ryan Day.

Ford is no mug either judging by recent results.

Hawkins is 5-5 again

was 4-1 up, went 5-4 down, won the 10th to go to a decider...

Hawkins just got a lucky break when Ford was leading 5-4 and looking set to make a winning break accidentally knocked in a red when potting the black and developing the pack.

Hawkins took full advantage of his good fortune and made a 60-odd break to steal the frame and set up a decider.

Sheesh, we are doing this one the hard way.

A win is a win though, so we are still in with a decent shot. Guess we'd marginally prefer Bingham next?

he'll be 4/5 possibly 8/11 or so against either. Robertson's form has picked up a lot this calendar year compared to last whereas Bingham is just back off his betting suspension so yes i would take Bingham if given a choice

Hawkins is a teak tough match player which we have seen in the last 48 hours, if he were to make the final would though be underdog v Selby and favourite against Wilson/Lisowski

You think Hawkins will be fav against Bingham/Robbo?
Surely not. Obv I'm not an odds compiler/loltrader.

he is higher in the world rankings, just off a ranking event final

absolutely he will be priced up as favourite (reserves right to delete post later)

Just imo but I think 8/11 v either is madness.
Hawkins had a really poor season until the recent final, he may be "tough as teak" but the others are a class above. Robbo similarly poor recently but showing the same signs of his game coming together.
I'll come out of punting retirement if Bingham is 11/8, huge price.
