Couple of long term Fred bets were NFL winners last night:

Baltimore cruised squeaked home to beat the Browns and, with it, claim the AFC North.

Julio Jones won the receiving yards title. At one point, Nuk Hopkins threatened to overtake him on the line, but a few passes by Matt Ryan saw Julio stretch ahead again. He won by 100 or so in the end.

--------------------------

The George Kittle bet also won and a fourth quarter bonanza meant Kittle overtook the line that Kelce had set for the tight end record (Kelce's Chiefs finished their game much earlier than Kittle's 49ers).

Had I spotted Kelce being 50 yards in front to start with, I wouldn't have been as bullish about the bet, but I was still happy the line of 78.5 hadn't taken this situation fully into account. The Rams' big lead against the 49ers played perfectly into our hands. Bet landed just after midnight and Kittle finished with 14 targets, 9 receptions and 149 yards.

Salford 5-1 for the National League. Looked like they were pulling clear with Orient but have lost a wheel lately and are back out to 9-2. They're still chucking money at it and have a mahoosive game at home to Rectum tomorrow.

Just the five bullets at L1 top scorer. Ronan Curtis (66-1) could well make L1 team of the season but Pompey have spread the goals around and he's a fair way off the pace.

Kieffer Moore (10-1) had a few games out injured after doing an ankle v Posh and has missed the last two games through 'illness'. Whether he's angling for another move back to the Championship we'll soon see. He doesn't strike me as particularly loyal but, if he stays, he has to go close. Barnsley will get stronger second half and he's only a few off the lead.

Josh Maja (14-1) is now favourite. It's all down to him. He's been offered a new contract but has to decide by the end of the week. Some of the bigger Prem clubs are sniffing around.

Ivan Toney (33-1 (showing at 20-1 on spready?)) is the best striker in L1 for me. Maja may turn out to be but he's still young. Big Ivan won't be sold sayed the owner. If he stays fit, Tomlin does indeed sign tomorrow and Maddison stays, he's going to get a hell of a lot of chances.

Danny Hylton (66-1) can do one. Got himself sent off and hasn't had a look in since.

Luton (6-1) looked an EW bet to nothing, thanks to a soft schedule, and so it's proving. Every chance they win the thing.

EW double Liverpool and Barnsley (10-1ish). Need t'Tykes to keep improving. The top three is a four-pronger for me between Pomps, Tykes, Shatters and Mackems. Liverpool nailed on top three obv and 4-6 to win it.

https://www.oddschecker.com/darts/pdc-world-championship/winner

Hard to think Michael Smith will be 40/1 to win the worlds this year in a few months.  He has had a few brutal draws at the worlds in recent years early doors and needed to get over the hump in a big game (esp against Ando).  I think this is a serious break out year for Smith this year.  Nappy factor as well.    Worth £50ew at 40/1.

Not much between him and the big boys now.  Snakebite looks seriously gone at the game and is 12/1.  Gurney and Cadby at similar prices are a joke in comparison to Smith.  Smiths world ranking of 9th is false due to terribly unlucky draws at the last few worlds (averaged 103.5 losing to unseeded floater Cross in the second round this year) where all the big money is ranking wise.

Assume fred never got on?  Hasn't been much chat about it.Hope a few got the fancy prices.  Congrats on the 9000th page fred as well.  Happy new year everyone as well.

Cheers for this, got £10ew on @33/1, your post was a pleasant surprise this morning as I haven't been following the darts.

Rod Harrington sayed last night that Michael Smith would probably be favourite for the final. Is he right please?

Thx, same to you and all other remaining Tee-eff-Teers.

Racing Post have two pages of 2019 special bets today but it's mainly racing. The only half-interesting price was 5-1 Altior to go unbeaten (must run at least three times) with Green Blowns/BFSB. It's 7-4 with Baldy (same stips).

For those who can Ski are paying 6 places on the 2.35 @ Chelts.

I liked the way Aux Ptits Soins travelled in his first race for the Skelts, and at his best would win this comfortably.

He has his Victor from last time to overcome but the last race felt like the Skelts were on a fact find to see what they had inherited.

The form is rock solid with the second and fourth both winning since.

He has been difficult to keep sound and i hope he doesn't bounce but it think that he could be a bit of a gamble tomorrow.

Start the year sensibly with £25 ew with the best terms you can.

Good luck and Happy New Year.
