Thanks guys.

I have a bunch of bets to suggest ahead of qualifying (14:00 UK time). Don't really have time to do full write-ups I'm afraid.

Race Winner - Valtteri Bottas @ >3/1. 10 points EW (1-2 1/3).

Podium Finish - Sergio Perez @ 7/2. 20 points.

https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-1/hungarian-grand-prix/top-3-finish

Top Six Finish - Charles Leclerc
@ >EVS. 10 points.

https://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-1/hungarian-grand-prix/top-6-finish

Points Finish - Pierre Gasly @ 6/4. 10 points.

Not good at all.

- Bottas had a poor start, and recovered to 3rd.
- Perez also had a poor start and didn't really recover. Their car lacked pace in the mixed conditions. Finished 7th.
- Leclerc had no pace and finished 11th.
- Gasly retired with a mechanical failure.

Shame because it looked so good after qualifying.

any MLB fans here? Season starting, but a short season. A few tweaks to the rules. Expanded rosters from the start, a shorter season. DH in both leagues. Playoffs expanded to 16 teams.

I am on the Milwaukee Brewers. 40/1 for the World Series or 20/1 for the NL. Consensus is that they are coached well and seem to do better later on in the season when the rosters are expanded. They made the playoffs the past two years and their division is the most wide open with four teams very close in the odds and one rag.

In Christian Yelich they have a strong MVP candidate and Ryan Braun seems like he is made for the role of designated hitter now the Brewers will use one in all games. Whether they have enough runs in the lineup seems in question. A lot will depend on how the younger pitchers do but hopefully Josh Hader (one of the most dominant relievers in the game) will be on top form.

There are a lot of question marks but I think a small market team or a bit out an outsider might make the World Series and win it this year. I like the Brewers at 40/1 with Spurting Bet.

I got a wee return on the 4 top scorers recommended with Vardy winning & Ahearne-Grant placing - my small EW yankee paid enough for a couple of cases of beer for watching the start of the new football season up here. Cheers!!

A friend of mine is mates with Gary O'Brien from Racing TV.
Gary told him to have a small dabble on Dance Emperor in the 7.15 at Galway tonight.
Not a strong recommend, just if someone is looking to have an interest in the race.

Fell out of the stalls and was stone last, finished like an express train for 3rd at 12/1.
His next recomend is Spyglass Hill in the 6.45 tomorrow at Galway. E/w at around 10/1.

Did well to nick a bit of place money by the sounds of it.

Onwards and upwards. All aboard the Spyglass it is.

Lovely little pub/restaurant up the road from me by that name. Have to see if it's still there when I dare to venture out to eating establishments again Cheesy

I was expecting to see a Tighty snooker recommend when I checked in today.

Most of the Top 16 have been installed as comfortable favourites in Round 1 of the World Champs, but most of them don’t look anything like 1/3 or 1/4 shots to me. The qualifiers not being best of 19 this year means they don’t arrive as “warmed up” as usual, but expect to see a fair few “shocks” again as has become the norm in recent years.

I have one out in my article tomorrow

I had a short list of qualifiers, a shortlist of vulnerable seeds and one matched up at the right price

Its not poor old Un-Nooh, who has qualifed for the crucible three times and drawn Selby at his peak, Robertson and now Ronnie. Ouch

No spots to recommend for the British GP this weekend yet. Maybe something will come along as the weekend develops.

Will let you know.
