Disappointing throw to his teammate here.

Aye, his buddy just looked puzzled about what had just happened.

Another betting takeover.  I don't know what this means for Hills, as the intention appears to be to sell off the UK operation.

Not got in to the Arc in great detail yet, but Stradivarious to place when you can get 13/10 4 places looks a way better bet than Enable to win at 11/8.  So e/w Stradivarios looks a really solid bet.   He likes the soft and it is likely going to be attritional.   Don't think Enable will like the ground so there should be a lot of good bets.

Should add that Paddy laid me 50 e/w at 13/2 4 places.  I have no idea what the intricacies are of there laying, as sometimes they just lay me peanuts in group races close to the race, but today they just took it all the day before.

I was pretty shocked, but guess most others can get on.

Sovereign @ 100/1 on B365
Won a maiden on heavy, so ground shouldn't be an issue. Tried over 1m 6f most recently, but didn't stay, so the drop back to 1m 4f will suit. Easy-lead-Irish Derby winner last year, so you can mark that down - but to 100/1?
Finally, you've got Barzalona for the ride, and he's been doing well since his trip back over the Channel. I've had a few quid EW on it (Scottsass being my main bet).

NB John Gosden was on ITV earlier, pretty much conceding defeat* in the conditions. He doesn't usually intentionally mislead, IMO

* Edit - defeat of Enable, of course

All Ballydoyle runners removed from tomorrow's card after eating "contaminated" feed

It is a real shame, I was particularly looking forward to seeing how Serpentine did.  I am of the view that it did more than just steal the Derby and is likely a very good horse.  I don't know if we'll see it again now, so it will likely remain unresolved.

For those betting on Stardivarius, both Hills and PP have a minimum of 11 runners to pay 4 places.  There are currently 11 horses declared.

Eifel GP qualifying starts in five mins, but if anyone sees this, Sainz @ 11/4 top six is a bet here:

Two bets to suggest ahead of the Eifel GP.

Race Winner - Lewis Hamilton @ >EVS -  basically always happy to take >EVS on Lewis to win from second place. I am slightly concerned that he was a little bit sulky yesterday after qualifying, but on the flip side mixed conditions are likely today and that's where Lewis really shines. Suggest 10 points.

Top Six Finish - Lando Norris @ 6/4 - McLaren were disappointed at qualifying 8th & 10th yesterday, and both drivers complaned about their set-up. However what I'm seeing of the car on track doesn't really correlate to their comments which is a bit confusing for me. That car looks very dialled into the circuit - particularly with rotation at the front end. If we do get mixed conditions, that should play into the team's hands, so 6/4 is a small bet here. 2.5 points.

- Hamilton did win the race, aided by Valtteri Bottas retiring.
- Sainz finished top six fairly comfortably.
- Norris looked likely to finish top six until his car gave way.

2/3 bets won for a decent profit overall.
