Fact check what the man in the pub just said please.

'Arsenal are the only team in UK to have only played in the top division'

Top flight since 1919/20 - before that in the old Div 2. Arrived in the top flight under dubious circumstances - the original finanical dopers Wink

Since the name was changed from Woolwich Arsenal that is correct.

Tikay might have to confirm any financial jiggery-pokery c1920.

...and so began a rivalry.

With Gabriel's red card quashed and django likely to get one instead retrospectively shouldn't there be a replay?

I remember one team who shall remain nameless trying to get a game replayed after they lost because they claimed to have eaten some dodgy lasagna. Surely we have a far stronger case than that.

On a serious note, how comes Mike Dean who got almost everything wrong including sending the wrong guy off making it 10v11 rather than 11v10 escapes scott-free and is back in action for this weekend's Premier league fixtures?

No idea how Dean was not demoted after such a weak inept performance.

He's going to get it back again when they ban him for his reaction to being sent off.

Me too, but the scratch marks on his neck and the lameness of his back-flick must have somehow made the powers-that-be see a modecum of sense.

I don't think that anyone can opine that justice hasn't been done which makes a very pleasant change for the FA.

Straight/crooked red for Gabriel, two yellows for SantiC.

The provocation doesn't matter. He aimed a kick at an opponent.

That's a straight red for violent conduct.

Pains me to agree with Jose, but he's right.

Retaliation is now allowed apparently.
