From Gabon, you say?

Is he Fang, Punu, Nzebi, French or Mpongwe?

Wenger knockers need to know these things.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre-Emerick_Aubameyang

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Has directly contributed to more goals (22) than any other player in Europe’s top 5 leagues this season

not to say it will happen, but i do think a striker and defensive midfielder would go a long way to securing the title. Wenger not a fan of the january transfer window though, understandably enoguh

Is too many creative players a good thing though, will he gel with Ozil, or will they sort of get in each others way?

In Wenger we trust, of course.

Apparently a couple of years ago Wenger said he didnt have the quality to play for Arsenal. Must have come on a lot as he doesnt usually change his mind!

He has improved a lot

I would be amazed if he came on big money already still young and Arsenal would need to break the bank (or push it) to sign him

Be a good signing mind

He'd be absolutely brilliant, but it isn't going to happen in January.

I think the significance of the January window became overhyped back when Robinho joined Man C at the last gasp and everyone was like woahhhhhh. Truthfully it's been a turgid affair ever since. Big stuff just doesn't happen.

There was lots of gasping and woahhhh but  Robinho joined City on the last day of the summer transfer window in 2008.  Berbatov went to United the same day.

I see it is a good  test of championship credentials in the next 3 games: Liverpool (a), Stoke (a) and Chelsea (h).

Saw an interesting stat yesterday about Arsenal. This is the 12th season since the Invincibles and in 8 of those seasons Arsenal have topped the league at some point during the year and were clear at the top by 5 points in 3 of those seasons.

How confident are Arsenal fans this season?

Dare i say it, quietly confident as things stand. This time Chelsea and Man U are out of the picture, City are being led by a man who knows he's out of a job in the summer - are they really going to play their heart out for him?

Each year we put ourselves in a good position, develop issues, either injuries or identify clearly the weaker positions. Then each year we do nothing and dogmatically stick to a no spend philosophy because we believe we know better.

This year we have both and I suspect we will not spend again.

Wake me up someone, it's Groundhog Day.
