Arsenal good value for a point. Woefully short of pace but actually showed a bit of passion for a change and fought well in the 2nd half.

Question for any of the "true" Arsenal fans.

Having said nothing for the last couple of weeks, but watched as the life has drained from AW, looking disinterested in games, not leaving his seat unless one of ours get fouled, or a bad decision against us, lacking in encouragement from the sidelines etc, I now ask...

If we lose to Wigan should he go, or does winning the Cup, in spite of everything give him a clean slate?

I think winning a cup and going out head held high would be the perfect way to go.

Thoughts?

I think the only way he stays is if we win the FA Cup and qualify for the CL.  Anything less and I can't see him being there come the new season.

I'm very sad to say that if we lose to Wigan I think Arsene's position will become untenable, and I really hope that doesn't happen as it would be a most unfitting end to a glorious era.

The lack of fight that the team has shown in some of our recent heavy defeats has been extremely worrying, not far short of inexcusable. At Everton when no other gooner came to back up Arteta when Barkley pushed him over after their scuffle late in the game really bugged me.

Let's hope Ramsey sparks things back into life on Saturday, and that we get Ozil and Koscielny to continue the revival for the games that follow as winning the cup and a top-four finish would appear to be a minimum requirement for AW to get the chance to invest the funds that his management has generated in the summer.

I think if we lose to Wigan he will go.
I think if we lose the final he goes.
I also think if we win the cup he will also go - just think the body language has changed, he has looked drawn and browbeaten in the past but he looks old/tired with it now - I think it might just have run its natural course.

For the first time I have crossed the line to the "time to go" crew, would be happy if we left him some dignity and he got to do it on his terms - I would just prefer if its this May/June.

I'm definitely not a Arsene Knows Best, but he knows a lot more than many of us and many other managers out there.

Not having a proper chief exec has been his downfall as he hasn't had the pressure of result & trophies whist we try and pay off the stadium on a very tight budget.

This was the first season we didn't have to sell a key player in the summer but you could argue that we didn't have any true world class players to sell.

I think & hope he stays as if we nab 4th spot I want him to have one proper summer in the transfer market which should be a tad easier without Man Utd in champions league.

He deserves that at least.

Surprise surprise!

Tottenham's winningest manager in the premier league era is rumoured to be available and suddenly the gooners want to get rid of their boss!

(Please take Naughton)

He's had the opportunity of making loads of transfer windows count, why do you think he needs one more?   Not signing properly in the summer and again in January is costing us dearly.  Yes we've been unlucky with injuries, but we've always been unlcuky with injuries, it's always the same.  These nimble little fellows we sign can't keep fit all season, perhaps it's the way they're trained.  Get some decent back up in place then we don't have to have the usual sob story on how we are without suchnsuch for vital games.

I personally think there is a untold story on restrictions placed on Wenger since the move to the new stadium. I personally believe only last year (when we didn't also have to sell anyone) was the first year absolutely no restrictions were placed on him. Did we then buy a world class player? Ozil?

Did any top quality player move in January?

If you say Mata, he only was allowed to leave Chelsea to a non-competing team (hence they wouldn't' sell/loan us Ba).

Hello

With Welbeck wanting to leave Man U, frustrated by lack of games it appears

And also Hernandez on the bench

if you could get either for £15m say, would that help for next season?

I know you'd want Diego Costa etc etc, but realistically Hernandez up top served by your midfield would be very potent would it not?
