Why Arsenal didn't sign Remy for £10 million is absolutely beyond me.
The geezer is an Arsenal fan, he was absolutely desperate to join, but Wenger didn't want him.
Probably for the same reasons that Rodgers had.
It's £10 million.
Ross MCormack and Leo Ulloa cost more.

Safe to assume there's something in his character that AW doesn't approve of.

Always some excuse- very risk averse. Can't see Arsenal challenging for the top prizes under Wenger

Trophies in the plural
'kin boshi referred to "that elusive trophy".

...and qualifying for the CL every season is an achievement that should be applauded, but it's become the goal rather than a stepping stone to that elusive trophy.
OK, I did mean the CL trophy in that sentence. But anyway, are the fans happy with CL qualification and the occasional FA or League Cup?
The short answer is no of course but some of us can still find positives.
The overall quality and depth of the squad is far better than in the lean years despite some obvious lack of cover in defence, and I can only see this trend continuing.
It's worth remembering that manure and their bottomless pit of borrowed money
were equally desperate for quality CD's in the transfer-window and also didn't manage to secure any.
The deadwood has now been jettisoned from our squad and AW is stubborn and won't lower his standards when it comes to recruitment as his is a long-term view unlike most fans who want instant success regardless of the sacrifice, a la Leeds Utd.
sigh, so juvenile.

Love that Ozil is off the mark.
Ditto Welbeck, who also slotted a beauty through to set up the Ozil first goal.
Thing that made me happiest were the number of shots from range, not just trying to walk in the perfect goal.
Looks like Wenger may finally be coming on board.

Love having Wellbeck in the team, his speed and kinda muscular athleticism for the second goal was something you don't often see for Arsenal. I can't hear any criticism of Ozil, sublime footballer and good to see some more obvious evidence to shut a few people up

A great article on the state of Arsenals finance in the link below. This guy is one of the great football finance writers out there and a shame he doesn't post regularly anymore.

A thoroughly interesting article, that, thank you,.
Full of gems, but this one jumped off the page......
the club reported a profit for the 12th year in a row
I do like to see Football Clubs being managed responsibly & sensibly.

13 Trophies won by Wenger at Arsenal: three League titles, five FA Cups and five Community Shields
18 years today.
Thanks for the fun, Mr W.

There's lots of add ons, which Leo must be sure of triggering at the rate he's going.
