Already feels quite dreary already.
The big three are looking far stronger and better prepared and we look like we will be in a battle with at least 3 other teams to gain our beloved 4th spot.
Not a lot more need be said until Xmas.
Is doubling-up on alreadys something that you think AW should be adopting tactically you old prophet of doooom?

I think (hope) that we will be more efficient playing the smaller teams compared to Spurs/Liverpool who tend to drop a lot of random points throughout the season. Though the squad isn't quite remarkable for once we do have the depth there in case of injuries. Agree we're probably not going to break into the top 2 or 3 this season though.
AW needs to tweak a few things, notably moving Alexis back to the left and consistently partnering Cazorla with Xhaka in the middle. But i think the future is at not too bleak for Arsenal going forward even if we haven't taken anywhere near the giant strides of the other big teams. Our time will come again hopefully!

I remember times in the past when Walcott and Ox have come back from injury lay offs and on their return for a few games they are absolutely turbo charged. I can't help but wonder if we'd be better off dropping them both for a prolonged period of time and giving Iwobi/Ramsey a run on the right hand side. Might reignite some hunger because trying to play them back into form hasn't worked so far.

Seriously though, I understand what you mean as our performances apart from Watford have been stuttering and unconvincing, and it's hard to understand how the team is actually set up.
I think because of how good the Coq/Santi axis was last season before they both got injured he's giving that duo another chance to shine before giving chances to others as he's loyal to a fault, but I do think that Elneny is being very underutilised and am of a similar mindset about Xhaka after his excellent game v Watford. Possibly the latter has a niggle is all I can suggest.
New signings take time to bed in and I'm sure that AW who is the first in for training every morning is the best judge as to everyone's wellbeing.
We have a very nice squad with plenty of depth especially in midfield and it's quite possible that our best eleven and the shape of that eleven is not established yet but rest assured it will be.
Arsene Knows.

Karabiner asked about Kroenke and the rams
Forbes says Stan Kroenke's Los Angeles Rams are now worth $2.9B. Nearly 4 times what he paid for the team in 2010.

Forbes also says Stan Kroenke is tied with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross for 2nd place on the "Richest [NFL] Owners" list. Each worth $7.4B.

I'm not sure why that pic tripled itself, possibly my legendary techno-skillz.
Perhaps a kindly mod could remove the surplus two.

Not bad I must grudgingly admit.

Feels good for Arsenal this year. They can operate a little bit under the radar while the media blab on about Pep and Mourinho.

Refreshingly upbeat and excellent performance - world away from the abject effort against Liverpool - hopefully not a one swallow kind of thing.
As well as the attacking side, thought we showed a lot of energy in closing etc. Interesting how much the game has changed in the last few years, mainly down to Pep's approach being copied quite successfully.
Season gonna come down to who's best at this - at the moment would have to rank City, Spurs, Liverpool and Arse as fighting for the top 4 places. Man U and Chels still look a bit pedestrian too frequently to seriously challenge ?
