I find myself drawn to the idea of a North London UEFA Super Cup.
Would that be acceptable to Arsenal fans? I mean, given an absolute binary choice between both North London clubs winning, or both losing, which would you take?
Ooh. That's a tough question. Don't want to rush to judgement although my instinct was to say both lose. Since we're playing Chelsea rather than frankfurt I'm gonna have to say both win in the scenario you give

Well that raises the somewhat ridiculous possible scenario of;
1) Two London teams, their grounds just 8 miles apart, playing their Europa League Final in Baku, which is a 5,000 mile round trip, & one fraught with difficulty, for a game which will kick off at 11pm local time.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48220247
2) Liverpool & Spurs, both based in England, 220 miles apart, travelling a 2,200 mile round trip to Madrid.
3) The EUFA Super Cup, between Spurs & Arsenal, literally a bus-ride apart, making a 3,800 mile round trip to Istanbul.
Football gets more & more ridiculous.

Ticket allocations are bad also.
Liverpool ,Spurs circa 13k tickets each.
Arsenal,Chelsea circa 6k each.

Brilliant results for both Arsenal and, in the end, Chelsea.
A huge game for Arsenal with the financial incentive of CL qualification for next season.
Due to the significant increase (around 50%) in Champions League revenue in 2018/19, all English clubs will earn much more than prior season (2017/18 comparatives in brackets). As it stands:
#LFC €107m (€81m)
#THFC €102m (€61m)
#MCFC €93m (€64m)
#MUFC €93m (€40m)

Ticket allocations are bad also.
Liverpool ,Spurs circa 13k tickets each.
Arsenal,Chelsea circa 6k each.
From the Liverpool site:
The club has received an allocation of 16,613 tickets for this all-ticket fixture.
Within the allocation of tickets received, approximately five per cent are Category 1, 21 per cent are Category 2, 54 per cent are Category 3, and 20 per cent are Category 4.
Category 1: £513 (£410 restricted view)
Category 2: £385 (£308 restricted view)
Category 3: £154 (£120 restricted view)
Category 4: £60
Maybe 13000 after they've allocated to players, staff, sponsors etc?

Should just play them in in the States or China or somewhere. Maybe they will one day.

Yes 6k seats each in a stadium which holds 69k.

Everything inside me screams both lose at the thought of that lot winning the CL.

Even when our chosen teams aren’t involved we are cheering for opposite sides:)
Hope your lot win the europa though

So poor tonight.
I fell for all the usual shite pundits saying we shouldn't be the underdogs and had my first bet on us all year.
We were ok first half. Nothing more.
Second half and we resorted to type and folded like a cheap suit when Girouds head was braver than our skippers boot......
We really have second rate players in defence and they have been annually poor ever since Bould started coaching the back line.
We have no gumption.
I would happily clear the lot out bar Laca and Aubama. ozil is a poison we have injected ourselves with and we have no antidote.
Let's hope we get this promised money, but I fear very few will want to join us after that dreadful attempt to window dress.

I feel sorry for the fans that travelled over all that way to witness a performance like that in a game that didn't kick off until 11pm local time.
We were crap especially in the second half but the crooks in charge of EUFA have a great deal to answer for.

Agree, it's beyond ridiculous that the fans of 2 London Clubs have to travel all the way here, & then for the rubs, an 11pm kick off.

Sky reported that Arsenal returned 2700 of their allocation.

I think Chelsea returned slightly more - around 3K.
