Ffs what are you all moaning at. 1 month the deepstack finished at 4.30 am because an unusually high amount of players went through to day 2 due to a massive field Saturday, an unusually high 3rd of the field went through from friday and the blinds being rolled back to give more play added another couple of hours. There ain't a lot wrong with it and most of you are moaning for moaning sake. I reckon this dtd deepstack competition in terms of buy in, value and playability could be just about one of the best in the world. If there is a better one I've not heard about it.

Lol shot down in flames then Trigg. I thought the $1k events were meant to be crap shoots but admit you may well be right. Simon is pretty good with the structures and timings but the fact of the matter is that they are structured to be finished within a certain time and if an influx of unexpected players suddenly shows up then the comp is gonna run on a little longer. Dtd certainly were not expecting the numbers and did an excellent job at drafting more dealers in at only a few minutes notice. They only required a reserve list for a while until those dealers got into work. From mid afternoon till mid night on the Saturday I would say that of the 40 or so tables in the club i never saw more than 3 tables not in use. The place was heaving and that takes some staffing. All these numbers of players just astounds me especially as Dtd were in direct competition with with LVTC this month and the new tour at star city last month. Dtd is obv doing something because they are attracting the numbers and appealing to the masses and not pampering to the whims of the elite few.

The tournament is totally fine as it is and are the satillites excessive? I don't think so.

Any clue why they took the 25/50 level out? I asked the dealer and it went in through one ear and straight out the other...

Long time reader first time poster...

Stayed at the deepstack till about 4am last night when i had to leave in order to make it to mcdonalds before they switched to breakfeast... Was very impressed by Bingham who was dominating the table for long periods of the final table! Also big shout out to d2d for such a good event and tighty and jonathon for there efforts and still good company late into the night!

My opionions on the structure i was a fan of coming back Monday for the final table this could start at 6/7 and then last for 5/6 hours it means on sunday night they could finish at 11 say and if people did have to work and were in the local (ish) area they could still manage it. If youve come from further afield i would imagine you might want to book monday of work anyway!

Sorry, but for £560 you want plenty of play and I don't feel that 30k is too much at all. Just perfect.

people who travel some distance need the monday for traveling home

i like to play occasionally 3 nights away from home is long enough as it is traveling friday and monday adding an extra day isnt good and
why i dont play 3 day comps

George was saying the 25/50 level is not needed with a 30k starting stack.

And thanks for all the support I received.
Well done to all finalists,

Finally, thx to Rob and Simon for THE NO DEALS POLICY!!!!!

300BB is too many chips to begin with - 200BB at an absolute max, 150BB better (7.5k starting at 25/50).

Get the nit crunch happening a couple of hours earlier.

12.30am is no time to be starting the final table of a tourney with £86k up top and no possible deal to mitigate mistakes made due to sleepiness.

imo, start with 20k at 50/100, have smaller increases later on (ie have a 3500/7000 levels etc) and slightly bigger antes. No rolling blinds back.
