Loved this series so far. Weird thing is it's mostly not the kind of food I want to eat to be honest, I'm more of a simple food guy rather than some of the poncey shite they cook.

Anyway, a good watch nonetheless...

Two skills test per episode is quite a treat.

Joey looks a potential winner.

Felt to me that as the critics between them didn't find a single fault in either dish that Monica and Marcus intentionally tried to play her down a little bit so as to make it not too obvious she was gonna win it. They obviously don't know at that point but will be surprised if they don't think she can.

have been watching this a fair amount, my dad loves it. Joey has been good, simple but very effective. wonder if she will have to open the imagination a bit at the next stage?

how do u think the critics part works? if its one after another, luck of going first must be huge. first guy could produce a rich desert that is great first up, but 4th down the line might be too much and they might not like it etc? maybe the do it at 2 hr intevals?
good show nonetheless

You say that, but you there are a few people that are working at Michelin star places. Marcus and Monica (via Michel Roux) will know a lot of their bosses, it's a small world the high end restaurant business. So I bet they have had the heads up on a fair few people that have been put forward by their bosses.

Demoted to BBC2? Paying the price for being so formulaic?

Bad day at the office for her.A real pity , would have liked to see more of her skills.
