JP Kelly, friend of many of us since we played him at Luton when he was 18 in the low buy in comps, has the chance to get the British WSOP off to a flying start...

Event 2 $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em

currently 18 left, with JP Kelly 3rd in chips

1    Jacob Bazeley       1,250,000
2    Ryan Schmidt       1,100,000
3    JP Kelly       900,000
4    Joseph Cino       720,000
5    Kenneth Strickland       660,000
6    Neil Willerson       610,000
7    Dan Smith       525,000
8    Abdyl Konjuhi       510,000
9    Andrew Badecker       400,000
10    Richard Park       400,000

Sadan Turker of the UK in with 280,000

1st is $517,000

JP Kelly has had a dramatically successful poker career. Already a two time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, having won the 2009 World Series of Poker $1,500 Pot Limit Hold'em event in and then later that same year won another bracelet at the 2009 World Series of Poker Europe in the £1,000 No Limit Hold'em event in London.

As of January 2012, his total live tournament winnings exceed $1,400,000

So he's a winner, and lets' hope he takes it down....to get another of these..
