Follow Dave Whorley on twitter, pretty decent darts bloke who follows all of it, just tweeted that Martin Phillips will be single figures for BDO worlds when it comes around, most top players not performing. Currently 25-1 with Shy. Just putting it out there.

Thoughts on Phil last night?
I'm on him outright but he didn't fill me with confidence with that performance, if the other fella could have doubled in on the two important legs to give Phil some pressure it may have been a different story, I don't think the score done the game justice, could easily have been a 3-2. Saving grace I suppose is that he always seems to do enough on the night to beat his opponent, I'm sure if James has had a few vodka's then it will be a cracking match. Love the format.

From a betting point of view I've played the correct score market on both sides for 3-2 where the matches are close in the betting, came of last night as it was the first to matches that I bet and they came in. Doing the same tonight but throwing in a couple of doubles as well on the first two matches.

Very impressed with Bunting under pressure there, many a player would have cracked after missing the first 130. Hopefully he can play like that at the worlds. |

He just lacks a bit of consistency but he put in some brilliant darts at key times in that match and the finish was different class. A lot of players would have lost their head after busting 130 the first time. |
