Stage 14. Probably a 50/50 chance some breakaway riders stand a chance. Although with Uran having a decent margin against the likes of the pure climbers. Movistar & AG2R may attack on the cat 2 climb & any breakaway will be eaten up. http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/giro-ditalia/giro-ditalia-stage-14/winnerOne selection so far. The final week will hopefully see Fabio Duarte show the form of last months Giro del Trentino. Laddies give a bit extra at 40/1 EW.

Franco Pellizotti usually goes well in the Giro final week & performed better than expected in the Giro del Trentino. PP 100/1 too tempting!

If the final comes down to a battle between the GC riders I've gone for Evans. Certainly Pozzovivo & Quintana are the best climbers in the race, but Evans is the fastest finisher. His ITT was initially thought to have been a disappointment, but was actually the best he'd done in awhile. Up hill his power & form are still 100%. 20/1 looks too big.

CWS any thoughts on the coming week in the Giro. Today's stage showed Quintana can now push on for the win with the high mountains to come. Only Pozzavivo can possibly match him. Kelderman & Aru did a fine job in limiting losses, but are young & could fade. KOM is a conundrum. Arrendondo blow up today. http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/giro-ditalia/king-of-the-mountainsMust be a play here? Pozzavivo or Quintana, or go Monsalve, who has been heavily involved breaks for early stage KOM points.

Pozzavivo or Quintana, or go Monsalve, who has been heavily involved breaks for early stage KOM points. Had a quick look, but couldn't see anything of note. Uran still has plenty of time on Pozzovivo and Quintana, so no earth-shattering news yet. If he loses 30s on each mountain stage, he'll still win. Arredondo blowing up is a bit of a stretch imo. He missed the breakaway on purpose so he could help Kiserlovski today, according to: http://www.cyclingquotes.com/news/hunger_knock_for_kiserlovski_in_the_giro/From what I can make of it, he did his work for his captain, and then dropped off the back. Won't be any major change in the KOM today with the parcours as it is. Will have another look later. Still fancy a non-GC rider for the blue jersey. Wellens? Still think Arredondo has the edge, but would like to see Arredondo v Wellens up a mountain before I make up my mind. Monsalve (who I fancied at one stage for the KOM) was soundly beaten by Wellens up 2 summits today. I think his race has run. Interested to see how Majka rides today

Cheers CWS.
Some great stages this week, potentially a classic last battle on the Zoncolan on saturday.

The Gavia. Road clear but a decent chance of snow could see stage altered.

A few thoughts on today. Quintana 2/1 fav too short. Todays tough stage & conditions could find out the younger riders. Uran despite minor set backs is still hanging strong. 25/1 ew. Duarte, desperate for a stage win, todays race at altitude should be fine for him. 12/1 ftw. Niemiec, unfortunate time losses early in the race put him out of contention for GC, certainly aiming for a stage this week, strong in Trentino, hopefully strong today. 40/1 ew.

This may be a silly question, but how does the KOTM work? Can't see betting for it any more, but also can't see a result anywhere?
