About as impressive a performance I have seen all year at the top level.

At least we got the ew money.

Ridiculously strong showing, and it looks like it's time for The Liquidator to be put through one...

bit harsh mate. Not turned out to be what we hoped but he was 4th, in a strong field. Not sure he will ever carry any of my serious dough again, but sure he will pay his way at a certain level.

Saw it was in a heap bar the 12 lengths to Faugheen, and he didn't seem to jump as well as he normally does.

Te opportunity for a play on his name was there, so seemed a shame not to use it Wink

We have called things far worse between us mate!

Great to see Sizing win, he was the rock solid one and a big price too.

Liking the cards tomorrow, so will get something up later hopefully.

Yeah, was nice to see Ballynagour run a decent race too.

I'm on wind down mode now, and just railing for the most part over the next few weeks.

Will no doubt get involved in anything you put up though!

Cheltanian has to be backed.in the 4.20 at Punches at
He was purchased by Roger B after a run at Punches, when second for Liz Doyle a few years back. He obv went onto win the Champion Bumper, and has had some issues since that kept him off for a year or so, but slowly he has come back to the sort of form that he promised.

Last time out he cruised into the lead over 2.4m at Aintree, but according to Johnson, was still a little green and got there too soon in a big field. Hobbs has a good record at Punches and I'm told he has him buzzing.

As an aside, Liz Doyle has the second fav, who she once offered to Roger, but stated he wasn't the same horse as Cheltanian. A lot has happened since then to both horses, but its one of those things that sticks with you.

Aside of all this he is clear top rated by people that know far more than me! Wink

The 4.55 at Punch has two horses at the top of the market that I had good touches on last time, Beat Time and Dom Poli. Third fav in this was the impressive Bartlett winner Very Wood. At first glance, and it probably will be, it looks a race between the three of them. Beat Time was awesome last time and has had an easy time of it so far this year and I may well back him if he goes 2-1.

However, I fancy a tiny ew dabble on Thunder and Roses who has looked like better ground will suit him more. He has proven form over 3m and at 50s in places, I have to have a little ew, in a race that seems to produce big price winners consistently.

First Lieutenant looks eminently backable e/w in the gold cup especially with Geraghty on fire at the moment  - even better with PP money back offer and 6-1 best price currently

I chucked Very Wood in a trixie last night with Cheltenian and Bob, so I better have a couple quid as cover on T&R.

Apparently Chelt lost a shoe when he got caught up jumping around the faller Wounded Warrior, which wouldn't have helped, but to my eyes, didnt affect the result, almost looked to me like he didn't stay....ho hum.

Surely At Fishers Cross has to be an EW bet to nothing against Quevaga?

She impresses me less each time she runs, and with a decent field assembled her, not sure if laying her or backing AFC ew is the better option.

Thoughts?

I prefer the e/w shot to nothing route, have done Fingal Bay myself. Also took the 11/4 about Balder Succes, though without super strong feelings about the race.

Only just watched the race, but some boy isn't he...

You think Wayneo getting into a battle with CF did for him?

One of my AP tickets for the 1000 went up in smoke today too Sad
