Horse racing just got even sillier after the 1.20 at Sedgefield was voided because someone working for the course waved a yellow flag at the riders instead of a chequered flag during the race.  The riders did exactly what they should have done if the guy had waived the correct flag and it made not a jot of difference to the result but its void because someone waived a flag.

Jockeys got a 10 day ban.

Very poor show and seems the jocks were hard done by. Not all bad though, if you had happened to back the horse that (didn't) finish third

Hennessy Gold Cup day at Newbury tomorrow and the main event is 1/4 odds 1-2-3-4 which always tickles the shrewdies fancies.

I'm rather keen on Fingal Bay who returned last back-end almost as good as new after a lengthy layoff. Some may remember that he trounced Simonsig fair and square as a novice hurdler and if he's coming back to that level of form over fences he might be hard to beat. He's still only an 8-y-o.

There's a little 9/1 in spots with some non-bookmakers.

Did Many Clouds before it was pricewised, and hopefully the fact it's not been very strong is down to the prior overreaction.

Backed Unioniste on Thursday morning with a free bet I had, when they were 28s, and not sure why it's come in so much the last 2 days.

Spoke to Adz yesterday and he's just having a bit of a break, but is hoping that we're not weighing Many Clouds down too much Grin

Shame he is not around, glad to here he will be back. Many Clouds has the full weight of my free bets (there are a few) on its back. Add in Neil's fancies and we have the 1-2-3. Good luck all.
