Surely ST wins that if not impeded at the last.

I didn't think so, he lost more ground than he lost by, so arguably they should reverse it but I thought SDG had a decent bit up his sleeve.

He still had the chance to pass and he couldnt imo, maybe you could say his loss of momentum but think SDG would have held him (not bothered financial either way).

Dont really see races taken for stuff that happens at fences, interesting.

Don't think they ever reverse it Ralph, but I thought he would probably have got there without the interference. Very unlucky.

Agreed. I didn't really expect them to reverse the placings.

I did think it was just building up a decent enough head of steam to prevail up that hill though. A shrewder jockey might also have been aware of SDG's tendency to jump left and challenged on the other side.

I've got to have some money on Tap Night up at Musselburgh today.

Down to a Class 3 for first time in almost 3 years, this JP Mac horse has had more failed gambles than I can recall. It must keep showing something at home. Hopefully the easier tempo and quality of opposition at this level will help see a change in his fortunes.

Tom Scu has clearly gone up there for the ride(probably picked up his other to pad the day out, as he has no stable rides).

He may just be gone, but for a horse that has gone off at lower prices than he is today, in top class races, the 9-1 dotted about now, looks tempting, especially for those of us that haven't been burnt before!

Evening.

I know its a real horses for courses event, but I can't help feeling On His Own looks vastly overpriced in the X Country event tomorrow.

Its a flatish weights event and he has over a stone in hand on official ratings, albeit over regulation obstacles.

On his debut over the X country course at Punchestown, he went off a short favourite against the likes of Quantativeasing(fav for the March Cheltenham event) and Love Rory, who runs today.

On the face of it he didnt perform terribly well, but having watched it a couple more times, he jumped well in the main, but had problems at all the banks fences. I suspect when trainers try out these types of fences they put horses over one at a time, and so first time over the banks they aren't used to other horses around them. I am prepared to give him as chance, as I am sure Mullins will have worked on it.

He may flop, but at 12-1 he looks worth an ew chance.

pin de reu breaks he national curse, over hurdles in unsurprisingly heavy ground at carlisle. Very strange betting pattern in 240 at carlisle.

Have backed Kaki De Le Pree for the Welsh National.

Gonna have a feather weight and seems to run his race every time.

Looked tailor made for this for some while. Has a Cheppy win under his belt and looks to be the sort of grinder that will love the step up from 3miles.

14s only left wth Lads. EW naturally.
