Think it was at Newbury, which has fallen foul to Jack Frost I believe.

Hi, it was the last race at Newbury ( N.H Flat race) but as been said meeting off due to frost.
Shame had the makings of a very good race.

Looking at the wincanton 3.55 a Novices handicap chase -gulp. originally thought DAVERON would have good chance E/W at 10/1
Ran good first chase race at chepstow over prob too short a trip, up 4F today.
Also thought 3 of the first 4 in betting had a few question marks,
Merchant of milan won low grade race,
Marden seems to make hard work of it
Sidbury hill p/u and fell, esp as they are half the price of Daveron.
But there appears to be a couple of flys in ointment .
Netherby has decent form but must of had some problems to of had so few races in such a long time, but did have some very decent form.
Too scoops sems to have attracted some support, certainly not on the recent form tho,
And lewisis last run apparently not as bad as it seems.
think will have a small ew bet for bit of interest, good luck.

So, are you sticking with DAVERON, or have your subsequent second thoughts led you to back an alternative EW? Looks like a trappy race to me.

You are a brave man tacking this race. Novice chase handicap in heavy ground is as tough as you get. The one that jumps off the page is Netheby if the market speaks close to the off, Gary moore is a crafty sod.
The 2.20 winner was nibbled at late on, returned 66/1.

Yes had small e/w Daveron.
Hi weetabix yes nov handicap chases are not normally the best betting contests, hence the - gulp
I wouldnt be surprised at any outcome but imo Daveron has as much chance as the 4 shorter than him in the betting.

hero
atdc knew
one to watch aswell as his jumping was very poor until the last few, lost a fair bit of ground, if he jumps better hes more than value for a bit more,
