There is no stream tonight..
I just asked Rob why?
"I don't like streaming, people moan at something that is free of charge, they moan at the commentators, they moan when there are technical problems. Why bother?"
translated "it costs money to stream, bandwidth, people and we'll keep it for big events only. Also I love tighty's updates and think it makes a nice change for blonde to update to a finish"

Tommy Bingham opens to 175,000
Reid and Slater call
checked round on J-J-3
Bingham bets 200,000 on the 3 turn, Slater calls
8 river
Bingham 350,000
Slater calls
Bingham 8-8 scoops the pot

So the tournament is in the new VIP area (that was the old VIP room behind the glass). Makes a nice change though I am distracted, perched on the side of a roulette table with £45,000 in casino chips behind lock and unfortunately no key centimeteres to my left.
The music is turned down in here and its a nice atmosphere for a final. The players have their own bar, and it begins to resemble a scene from High Stakes Poker, the US show froma couple of years back with bar, valets, chairs in the corner..away from the hustle and bustle of a busy Sunday evening club
As an added bonus, I am away from the Welcome desk so I don't need to tell 30 people a day how to use the DTD Online software on the terminals opposite me

Personally I much prefer it 'old school' when the updates go through to completion

Toms Somerville and Bingham have been very impressive all day, and I reckon might be favourites to win here
Conway though is the chip leader and after his 88>QQx2 coup ealier momentum is with him
Slater is experienced around the UK circuit, Arlott (from Leicester) has been round the block too
I don't know Brown, Reid or Burnett from any DTD tournaments I have covered in the past.

I would love it if it happened every event alongside the commentary/streaming, but there's only one of me. So this is a nice change for me.

Just been watching the GUKPT Reading live feed and boy it was awful and was full of people moaning and groaning - good decision Rob. I have never had a problem with DTD delayed feeds to be honest.
