Ronald Koeman bought some cracking players while he was at So't'on, Mane and Van Dijk to name a couple - but almost exclusively overpriced damp squibs for Everton.

Why did a shrewd investor in the transfer market suddenly become a mug punterer overnight?

Very little of the transfer market dealings are done by managers/head coaches anymore they put out positions they feel need strengthening and the backroom will come back with likely targets for manager to look at, but even then its people like Les Reed who will get the final say in who comes in and goes out

FFS only himself to blame but we have no consistency of management squad or line up

A huge relief.

Quite comfortably the worst football we have played in my era.

Players have to shoulder some blame, they have woefully under performed. The performance on Saturday was a disgrace so he really had to go.

I think Marco Silva is the obvious one that fans want, Mark Hughes sounds more likely. I am not too bothered really, it cannot be any worse.

8 games to go, 5 away, Chelsea and City still to play at home. Gulp. I hope it's not too late.

The merry go round continues, and Mark Hughes, recently sacked by relegation strugglers Stoke, gets the job.

As inspiring as the Pardew and Lambert appointments this season.

so how do southampton get to 36 points which will be borderline of staying up this year i think

we are away to arsenal who have look on form since the Brighton game
they might have eye on europa league tie but they have a 3 goal cushion
0pts

home to Chelsea we need 3 pts here against a team who have blown hot and cold
0pts if they are on form

away to Leicester another team blowing hot or cold  if we dont get 1 pt here we are likely going down
1pt

home the Bournemouth south coast rivalry from bouthmouth fans anyway saints fans are still obsessed with pompey have to get 3 points here
3pts

everton are showing alot more than the saints just now but hopefull will be on holiday mode as they are safe and not going anywhere near europe
1pt

swansea away could be a 6 pointer showing the odd signs of life though
3pts

man city final game of season what team will turn up will the superstars be given a rest before heading off to world cup can we actually beat man city 2nd XI

0pts

thats what we need to get to get to 36 points will 36 be enough? can we actually get those points from the games i have highlighted
or can we get a shock result or 2?

Please beat Swansea and Stoke still have a chance.  Huddersfield goal difference gets drilled and even if they sneak a point Stoke will stay up on GD.  Thats the plan anyway.

The atmosphere yesterday was electric.

That last 15mins was what football is all about. Still buzzing now.

How we have got ourselves in this situation, I really don't know. With the right coach, this is a good side.

Cedric, Bertrand, Romeu, Tadic, Lemina, Austin all good Premier League players and will almost certainly go onto success elsewhere if we get relegated. Fingers crossed we can pull off another great escape.
