Have to agree, ariston but thats what makes the game what it is.Sometimes Bad play gets the wasoomers.....Them's the breaks.

I'm sure I've read a Dave Colclough article somewhere saying massively overbetting when you flop a set can be a good play.........

It can be a good play yes if the board looks like it could have helped your opponent. I will sometimes use the play with a set if there is an ace with a couple of players in, one of them is likely to have a big ace and read as a bluff. I will never bet boss set(unless it is a scary board and I am happy to take the pot) this way as how can you be certain you are going to win anything? Lousy play, me the numpty for calling it and I believe he will get crucified by eric and donkey.
