How many Brits played the one drop? That is the key variable. You would have to think we are up surely at that figure.

I think we are almost certainly up.

Not many Brits will have played the high buyin limit "Championship" events in HORSE, Stud, O8, etc etc

We are currently slightly down on the TOTAL for 2014, though we will beat the 2014 figure for sure when the last few Events (including the Main) conclude.

Last year's $8 million included Paul Newey winning $1.4 million in the Big One Drop, which distorts things somewhat.

I thought you were asking up/down versus buy ins - which is what matters right?

Surely massively in profit if you ignore the one drop, which seems sensible. We've had two bracelets, and many 2nd-10ths.

Really you'd think most countries outside USA, Canada and possibly Latin America would be in profit.

Mostly the cream of a country's poker playing crop will have the bankroll to travel. So you'd expect them to do pretty well.

Thought we have had three bracelets?

Anyway, that aside, I'd say the Brits have made a significant net loss. No figures to support that, just gut feel.

I have no figures either just can't see where circa $10m of buyins would come from in order for us to have made a substantial loss over the wsop.  There seem to be far less brits there than in previous years, i can name over a dozen who can't gone this year and/or have played much smaller schedule of events.

I knew we had won three, but it took me 15 minutes to remember the name of the third one. Messrs Gale & Lindop were easy, but the third one was a pane to remember.

People who know him, know exactly how good Alex Lindop is. I'd put him in the absolute top tier of UK players and I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't his last score of this magnitude.

Two Brits, Adam Owen & Gerard Ringe are going along beautifully in the $1,500 7 Card Stud Hi Lo.

They are in the money already, & this is Adam's 5th WSOP cash this summer.
