" I’m done. Yesterday I cancelled my direct debit to the Labour Party. “Why don’t you just sod off and join the Tories“, Jeremy Corbyn’s supporters regularly ask anyone who dares to challenge their rancid world view.

I won’t be joining the Tories. But I am sodding off. "

"There is no point pretending that Corbyn's views are no longer the views of the broader Labour Party "

Strike out the rofly Enoch Powell cuddling and its a very strong article imo, plenty to agree with for me. I've always voted Labour but with Corbyn at the helm if there was a general election tomorrow, I couldn't put a cross in that box for the reasons mentioned.

It's just another nail in the coffin for the Labour Party as any meaningful political party for the next few years.

Even as someone who doesn't support them I think we need an effective and meaningful opposition. It's good for democracy and stops any ruling party going to fair to the right or left.

I hope Cameron and Osborne don't get complacent.

I thought it would be great news to see the Labour Party pull itself to pieces but seeing it happen feels uncomfortable. God knows where they will end up when the majority of party members support an idealist, delusional dreamer who has as much chance as me being the next PM.

On the face of whats been reported by the press, its unbelievable.

interestingly....

During the trial, Judge Martin Griffiths permitted the rare step of allowing 20 minutes of Abdulaziz's evidence to be heard in private.

The jury acquitted Abdulaziz of one count of rape after just 30 minutes of deliberations.

I haven't read the article but it's a pretty weird shot for a Christmas card isn't it?  Feels like the person who shot it loaded it with political intent but I can't be bothered to fathom the intentions?

Not really

It is a few bikes next to an old red phonebox.

Or according to the Mail a "chilling reminder"

With all the crap written on leftie Twitter, I sometimes worry that I am drifting too far to the right, but it just takes a single article in the Mail to remind me I am fine where I am.

Maybe it has a red phone box to let you know it is a UK scene, and maybe it is bikes over cars to send a green message, but overall it is just a typical winter scene ffs.

Could read a bit more into Cameron's card which is him and his wife on the steps of number 10 after the election victory. No snow, no Santa etc.

Come on.  Bikes stuck in the snow.  A symbolic red light in the background showing the country ground down?  I'm sure the Mail are over reacting whatever they said but equally whoever spent hours over this photo has created a very strange shot (and I'm sure we agree this photo was discussed at length?)

I'm aware I've now made 3 posts about a Christmas card which is now worrying but do you think the instructions to the photographer were "just get the shot boss.  Doesn't matter if the light i the background is green or red.  Just a typical festive shot after all."

It's a weird photo - but I thought the article was satirical; a bit of Christmas fun (?)

Obviously that's not their normal way - but maybe they think because it's Christmas people will realise they're not being entirely serious (Huh?)

The mirror have also done a bit of in depth analysis as well as a bit of fun. Although if it came later might be a comedy reaction to the mail piece.
