into hour 29 of the labour reshuffle

one member has tweeted that he has been sacked, there has been no official news of anything

not as important as all the real world issues of course, but would love to be a fly on the wall in some of the meetings

Whatever else he does, surely he has to get rid of Maria Eagle. Can't carry on with a Defence spokesman flatly contradicting and defying him at every turn.

but surely he can't put diane abbott at defence? would be a laughing stock (though meetings between her and chiefs of defence staffs would be more fly on the wall wish list stuff)

That would be fascinating, but I couldn't see her ever going there. Every day would be a wrestle between ideals and pragmatics. I'd say she's already in her ideal role at International Development.

Pretty sure Abbott would move seamlessly between ideals and pragmatics given her approach to schooling.

How the heck would that story have brought down the prime minister?  Have you read the entire blog?  The fella needs to move on with his life.

it took three days

but corbyn now has a trident outer at defence

got rid of two working class shad cab members, one for saying that paris wasn't the west's fault

got benn to agree to speak from the backbenches if he disagreed with foreign policy

....so does he physically walk up the stairs from the front bench, when he has something "controversial" to say on foreign policy?!!

expect so. its never been done before. the new politics

obviously, and i think it is that obvious, Benn is impossible to sack without a mass walkout from his shad cab so he had to find a compromise
