a great scoop

On Sky News

"we’ve obtained a “sensitive” internal Whitehall slide which makes sober reading about the first month of a no deal brexit. It warns of
- “consumer panic”
- “law and order challenges” in NI
- security gaps
- Brits abroad return

Produced before BJ became PM"

Not sure what makes it such a scoop. I could gather ten people in a pub and put that together. Some of it is quite laughable. Are we suggesting people smuggling doesn't yet happen?!!

it was an official government private document, leaked. therefore a scoop to get it when no one else had it

Absolutely none of it is laughable.

As I said, some randoms could have drafted it. Hardly newsworthy, even the source. "Leaked" to provide fodder for folk like yourself to get worked up about

The civil service drafted it. Stop being obtuse, look at the information that comes out and open your mind please

Not sure you can ban me for being obtuse....?

Lets be honest, you are the one incapable of thinking anything other than doom and gloom and pestulance can befall us after Brexit.

I have often agreed that it might not be a good thing, but still favour our exit. I see no evidence that you have ever considered anything other than the one dimensional views you have thrust upon us.

if i could, it would have been years ago!

I consider all views, post up all sorts of stuff. Its clear its a terrible idea, and no deal even more so.

A view borne of years of consideration and reading and digesting a range of views.

I agree that overall it’s probably a terrible idea

But reversing it and revoking is a worse idea

So at some point the narrative does have to change. We have a terrible starting point so how do we build from there. If Remain keep saying they don’t want to build from there forevermore that would be a terrible idea also

Chopping off my left arm is a terrible idea

Deciding not to chop of my left arm as previously I decided I had to on one particular day is a worse idea

Lots of experts and professionals have told me not to chop off my arm, overwhelming evidence is that chopping off my arm will be terrible news for me but I must do it

I am clearly incapable of free will to change my mind

:-)

got it

Think you missed the bit where you offered everyone a say in whether you chop your arm off or not, and promised to obey their decision even though some of them had a crazy look in their eyes.

Found BoJo’s visit to Ireland interesting. Throughout this process the tough stance of EU is to protect the interests of the union. Heard several times yesterday that BoJo should be impartial? Don’t get why he can’t protect the interests of his union.

Also in a scoop the Bank of Ireland say No Deal would cost 110k jobs, slash economic growth and trigger food and medicine shortages. Quite sobering news for the EU.

Because we voted against him protecting the interests of his union?  It would be "the death of democracy" if he did?

UKIP were beaten by the Monster Raving Loony Party in the Brecon By-Election. This is the Monster Raving Loony Party’s Brexit policy.

We will Send Noel Edmonds to negotiate Brexit because he understands Deal or No Deal.
There will be no need for a backstop to the Brexit negotiations. We’ll have Alec Stewart as wicket-keeper.

Now we're bloody talking.

I'm loving this new word "pestulance" - it made my day.

Well that and The Monster Raving Loony Party's brexit manifesto..
