Kinnock amendment has passed as there were no tellers for the noes.  May's deal is back on the table?!

I watched all that live, but what does that mean, "no tellers"? I get that the tellers do the counting etc, but the absence of tellers means what?

That those votes don't count, so it passed without opposition

Why do we think they let it happen though? A mistake is most likely but the other possibilities are intriguing.

During Kinnock's speech earlier he was asked what the Labour front bench view was. I think he said he hadn't spoken to them but he understood the general view was Labour would abstain on voting on his amendment (so, presumably, deliberate rather than an error)

It is intriguing, doesn’t it let Johnson prolong (months of negotiations)keeping no deal off the table, without them having done it? They must have a clever (still managing a straight face atm) plan I guess?!

Some excellent speeches again today (and some absolute shockers). Again I was impressed by some of the oldies who genuinely believe in brexit.

Block exit on Oct 31st, block GE, block referendum result, make government impotent, deny people a vote & alienate the public, EU see no sense in granting extension past Oct 31st anyway.

Aren't dithering Remain wizards doing well

Protests, demonstrations, placards all well and good but now errr….

On dive back home from airport 5live interviewed a small cross section of Labour MPs seemingly feeling they can bring enough votes to the table to get a rehashed TM deal through.

Some fresh optimism perhaps that we can conclude this?

Someone said the other day the EU deal actually meet 5 of the 6 "tests" Labour set to approve the deal !

The hardliners at both ends of the scale are never going to buy it.....so if there is a chance, it's up to the sensible rump of both Tory and Labour to finally wake up and smell the f^^^king coffee.
