Who would trust future governments to keep the promise of a pension contribution taxed on the way in and tax free on the way out.

That is a very good point and another reason not to trust/want the ISA pension route.

Buckingham Palace make an official complaint to Press watchdog; Clegg says its rubbish.  So seems pretty standard BS from the Sun.

Starting to think Ol Trump could be in serious danger of an assasination attempt. Can't remember a time when I've seen so much hate both towards and in defence of a political figure in the US.

Had no idea who you meant but was obvious with hindsight :-)

I really like Andrew Neill's approach - sometimes when I watch Andrew Marr, Paxo and others they just interrupt a little too much.

Neill always seems well prepared with a good grasp of things.  Seems to let them talk long enough towards a deep hole with his little barbed, nudges pushing them ever closer to the edge.

Yes. Exactly this.

His team clearly do such a lot of work because she was stumbling around like I have not seen before, and and it was apparent, she wasn't expecting many of the questions he lured her into.

I guess it depends on your perspective as to how you view that interview.

Andrew Neil is certainly a clever man, but Sturgeon is correct you don't look at a countries finances over the course of one year.

Of course she's right about that but it wasn't the point

Quite

the point is that if the yes vote had won you'd have seen austerity and cuts on a huge scale. SNP quite lucky they lost the referendum vote really.

not that it matters, as the average scottish voter doesn't care about hypotheticals and they'll win the holyrood elections with 45-50%

i note labour stands a realistic chance of finishing 3rd in scotland in may behind the tories.
