Age breakdown from ComRes poll has JC doing best with 25-34 year old (who vote less, or have done).

meanwhile on Peston, i sat up sharply in a hotel room when John McDonnell said Esther McVey should be lynched

Yvette Cooper was on with him and called on him to withdraw  ""It's not ok, he should apologise""

McDonnell refused

all going well then in the "unite for the party" stakes

today so far then

Actually amazed May leads Corbyn with 18-24 year olds, that's the one demo I'd expect Jezza to crush.

Interesting to me that, Sir Craig Oliver is a Sir. Couldn't find too much about him, but five years seems like a short time to be in office to get such recognition. Also gave me a wry smile that the director for communications for Cameron came from the Marxist BBC.

Promoting their star turn online, Kruger boast that during his time as No.10’s key man Sir Craig “faced a news revolution, which went beyond a 24/7 environment to one of 360 degree news”. What on earth does this mean? I feel so out of touch from the corporate world reading things like that.

McDonnell seems like a real nasty piece of work. Good luck appealing to the voters with him in a senior position.

Every week it seems they wheel McDonnell or Dianne Abbott to the Marr show or Daily Politics for an inevitable car crash interview (or when they are busy, Livingstone). The interviews always do more harm than good (like this classic):

The fact that McDonnell didn't apologise for the lynching comment on the same day they were honouring Jo Cox at the party conference speaks volumes of the man.

Didn't he say this in 2014? Yvette brought it up for some reason? Her request for Corbyn to sort out the twitter trolls is such a load of nonsense. The beheading comment which has swept the headlines came from some Australian. I have absolutely no idea what it has to do with the Labour Party. It really detracted from her general argument which I agree with. It all feels very awkward and quite political from her.

I thought this was pretty interesting. http://www.lse.ac.uk/media@lse/research/Mainstream-Media-Representations-of-Jeremy-Corbyn.aspx

McVey was in the studio to be interviewed by Peston, seperately

Peston brought it up to McDonnell, with Cooper sitting alongside (originally he said it in the commons in 2014, in response to government disability benefit policy)

the exchange happened as reported, he orginially claimed that it was journalists but then admitted he himself had used the phrase "lynch her"

Cooper was upset and disgusted.

McDonnell is a nasty piece of work i'd say, and I am sure so would most people watching

they probably don't know about his past as an IRA fundraiser too. they will by the time the election comes
