"In the 2009 expenses scandal, he was the Shadow Cabinet Minister found to have the largest over-claim on expenses, and as a result was forced to repay the most money.[4] In 2010, he was appointed Defence Secretary by Prime Minister David Cameron, a position from which he resigned on 14 October 2011 over allegations that he had given a close friend, lobbyist Adam Werritty, inappropriate access to the Ministry of Defence and allowed him to join official trips overseas.[5]" Wikipedia.com

with a couple of degrees in economics, and judging on his performance this morning, quite possibly. unless you asking me to diagnose a medical problem.

watch Marr on iplayer and tell me you were impressed.....very lucky man, a disgraced ex-minister given another shot like this

From a political perspective, it's not really his job to be impressive. He had a fairly dull interview, from a lacklustre Marr I thought, where he re-stated his free trade views and showed a certain ambivalence, as he must, about membership of the customs union etc. Wholly dull and lacking insight but isn't that Tory policy at the moment - marked him up as a good team player tbf.

Can we please ensure we give him his full official title - the disgraced former defence secretary, Dr Liam Fox.

Odious politician who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a parish council never mind a cabinet post.

Didn't Church blame the Syrian war on climate change last year?

Thought of exactly the same thing when they mentioned some schooling.   FWIW I think there was some academic who had claimed global warming was leading to water shortages; which would lead to more wars in the middle east/hot countries.  So I think she wasd just repeating something she had heard.  Of course, rather than making her seem clever and well read, something else happened.
