Unsurprisingly Blair still trying to justify over throwing Saddam, even though Chilcott says there was no immediate threat to us.

He's delusional.

In the aftermath of Jo Cox that was probably a bad turn of phrase.  However, my point remains.  He and his dodgy dossier were responsible for the killings of thousands and the displacement of millions.

So he still believes his actions were right, that an independent enquiry which pulls to pieces the war in every respect is wrong.

We should definitely trust parliament to make the best decisions for the country. . hur hur hur

Interesting case this though. If it takes such a long time, with full 20/20 hindsight to come to a rational perspective - how are parliaments supposed to judge these matters in 1 week, 6 months, a year. Obviously some people are ahead of the curve..we can't accuse the majority of parliamentarians of this of course

Blair's case is not that Saddam was an immediate threat - but that as the Americans were going in, he might be in future, so let's go along
