Andy Burnham ‏@andyburnhammp

We did it! Commons votes by 245-2 to secure status of EU nationals in the UK. Govt can't now retreat on this. Thanks to everyone who helped.

Corbyn's allies believe they'll win again because their opponents haven't learned from defeat. My column: http://bit.ly/29zjvLn

Andrea Leadsom giving a campaign speech at the moment and it's some serious weakass shit.

Her supporters are breaking out into 'spontaneous' applause literally (and I mean that in its actual, correct sense) at the end of every single bland, content-free sentence that falls out of her mouth.

on the one hand, it would make no sense to follow the Labour party completely vacating the centre by appointing a very right winger as the new PM. hardly going to appeal to marginal voters who decide general elections...

on the other, Leadsom sounds like every Tory constituency association chairwoman going. likely to be pretty popular with the idealogues (and there are many members like that) rather than the pragmatists if she gets to the final 2
