Surprised to see that it's been said upto 15 Tory MP's are willing to vote against. The dreadful Jo Swinson will come round to it eventually & so will Change UK.

It'll just end up being some silly compromise, but it can't go in a merry go round where we keep having the NC motion, must be won first time round.

Dominic Grieve is the go to “well, surely he’d do it?” when people discuss votes for a caretaker government. But he won’t vote for one led by Corbyn

Corbyn government may be 'lesser of two evils'

Great Michael Gove quote (from someone with my point of view lol) from March this year,

"We didn't vote to leave without a deal. That wasn't the message of the campaign I helped lead."

germane to last nights discussions

I liked this quote by Goodall

"British politics, as confused as it might often seem right now, is actually very simple. The Government is committed to Brexit by October 31st, "do or die". The assembled forces of the Opposition, are not as committed to prevent it. That's why the government is winning."

another interesting view

Barwell, May's lieutenant, on the WA failing three times

"One group thought they could get a better deal or failing that no deal. Another thought they could get a second referendum. One of them has fatally miscalculated. We will shortly find out which one"

Lis

"Jo Swinson does not have the parliamentary numbers or time to pick and choose who she is prepared to work with.

If the Lib Dems really believe a few months of a limited Corbyn government is worse than medicine shortages, they must explain why."

Such a basic quote. You must be struggling for material and sources if you’re quoting to guessy kid from Sky news.

Good link, thanks Adz.

BBC analysis of the same agreements, a slightly less dry read: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47213842

Looks like we've signed up with roughly 6% of total UK trade with another 5% in ongoing discussions. EU plus US is 65% for camparison.

I do not regard him as dreadful. I also had not seen the situation expressed as he did. I thought it was interesting. No different from any other day since the thread started.

The fact that you do think he is dreadful almost certainly means he isn't!

He is dreadful. The bloke is desperate for elections, his opinions are all about pushing elections. What he thinks, never happens.

Btw, you think Shane long is decent, so maybe his tweet is what it is

Hey Adz, hope you’re ok. Seems you’re struggling if you’re going to resort to this everytime I respond to tighty instead of you.

Get well soon.
