Horrible interview that went off the rails early, with Boris refusing to stop talking and just carrying on and on and on making sounds while Marr tried hopelessly to get him to shut up so he could get another question out. Trying to just ask them anyway while Johnson was going on didn’t work as Boris had the louder voice and just kept going. I felt sorry for Marr for failing to make any impression on the tide of words coming out of Johnson. Such a contrast to the Neil/Corbyn one, where Corbyn listened to the questions and tried to answer, but Neil was in charge. Boris just stomped all over him - painful to watch.

Marr was the problem. Johnson struggled to get a response in during the last 10 mins.

Marr was reacting to Johnson’s unstoppable bluster in the first half.

There is no excuse for rudeness in any situation, so Neil can fuck off IMO.

There’s no reason for you to use such foul language either

That was a joke son.

Notice that I said there is no reason for rudeness before I used a swear word.

I'm sorry if you were offended.

Brexit Party candidate in Yvette Cooper's seat backs the Tory candidate after local polling shows her to be leading their split votes.

Potentially significant as there's a significant Leave campaign against her locally.

He isn't the Brexit Party candidate, so can't stand down.

Folk are still going to vote for Brexit Party and I'd imagine majority of folk don't even know that tweet exists.

It's a shame that Lib Dems and Labour can't do similar, because then that would be a movement, but instead they're putting party before country.

I wonder how Brexit voters will feel if a hung parliament is returned?

'That (public) interest was hardly served by Johnson filibustering his way out of any answers as though he were a poor contestant on just A Minute. Marr tried his best but even describing Johnson’s refusal to stop talking over him or answering the questions as “chuntering”, rather than “lying”, felt wrong.'

My bad.  Got mis-led by someone's retweet of it describing it as the above and the various comments congratulating him on announcing this.

This is interesting.

"Boris Johnson" plagiarises somebody else's work that was originally intended to refute the legal aspects of what Boris Johnson was saying on the London Bridge attack.

https://twitter.com/BarristerSecret/status/1201079518192119808

Much of the incovenient stuff is missed from the "Boris Johnson" thread and he finishes it with something that is a lie (sorry not sorry to Stanley Johnson)

Of course the original blogpost is much more interesting than the bits "Boris Johnson" butchered, as the secret barrister is very good on lots of topics.

The majority of politicians are shithouses, never trust any of them would be a more accurate mantra IMO.

For all his shortcomings, this isn’t a criticism that can be fairly levelled at Corbyn. What is it that you don’t trust about Corbyn?
