I hope bumbling Britain, finds it in its heart to help the EU with their vaccine crisis.

nb Is there are a more delusional group than the FBPE ers. Saw a tweet the other day that suggested if the EU came in and slept with an FBPEers wife they'd ask them if they fancy a beer and a cigarette.

Onwards and upwards, trade deals with Asia next

I would query upwards.  I'll give you vaccines, that we are doing really well at, so long as you give me everything else.

Macron and Starmer and others get a mention here.

tbf, I'm sold on Brexit even if it means downwards. Macron's comments were enough to outrage my little Englander sensibilities and further confirm by biases.

Often find Jess Philiips a bit jarring and her sort of cry-talking affectation is a bit tiresome to me.

On Marr this morning she was quite exceptional though in her critique of some Government policy (eg pay) and the Justice system - on the matters she spoke about, no evasion, completely authentic - hard not to like, I'd vote for her if she was in my constituency. Obv the left hate her

Not many posts here.  FWIW The chairman of Handforth Parish Council (ie Mr You have no authority) resigned yesterday.

Enjoyed this

Imagine having to live there, it must have been so awful for him...

Seriously why the f do people decorate when they don't need to, having people doing work in your home is nearly as bad as having to do it yourself.  Would definitely favour only replacing or fixing things when they are broken.  My missus isn't of the same view unfortunately.  Our water pump has just gone, so I a bit grumpy about it, my missus is like "shall we get a quote to get the boiler replaced at the same time?".  wtf?  We have only had it about 8 years.

Going off on a tangent, I read something at Christmas about people buying new christmas decorations each year.  You have them up for a couple of weeks, so surely everyone just puts them in a bag and drags them out each year I thought.  I assumed that US President's wives were very much the outlier, but think it was something like 50/50.  Best not tell the missus that half the people get new ones every year, or we'd be gettng new ones every 6 months.

Why would Boris, or anyone else for that matter, bother to make over a flat that by definition is just a temporary home?

Also, if he lied about the funding isn't inevitable that he will be found out? I thought he was brighter than that.

pressure from his g/f I'm guessing - I think PM's redecorate to their chosen style because they might be there for 8 years - I remember seeing photos in one of the Sunday papers of Cameron and his newly decorated flat full of John Lewis wallpaper

His g/f reminds me of one of those upside down faces with eyes stuck on the chin.

That doesn't really narrow it down much...
