As you guys were talking about good youngsters, Andrew Robertson for Hull really caught my eye, would make a great addition to Palace I think.

Palace chairman Parish has said we will make two signings tomorrow (he is a tease), McCarthy of QPR is expected as one and the other no-one really knows, but possibly Patrick Bamford. I am surprised we don't appear to be aggressively pursuing Austin.

What is McCarthy like Camel?

Another English talent takes a break from football to join Manchester City.

Patrick Roberts, Fulham

£11m

From a few years back when he was in our youth team. Made good progress but we won't see a penny!

Crystal Palace's impressive recruitment continues with the addition of Patrick Bamford (1yr loan).

Always liked Bamford but not convinced he's Premiership standard yet.

Poshies had a busy day, announcing four signings in one go. Can't listen to Robbo interviews but really liking the way he's going about the job now he's cleared up Fergie's mess.

Cant have Bamford for Palace

They have Gayle who is not much of a player but is an excellent finisher (and unlike bamford proven at this level)

Bamford is similar poor link up play at a lower level

21/24 (87%) of Championship clubs can be found at 28/1 or shorter to win the league.

Each of the past 10 Championship seasons has seen a club at 20/1+ win promotion with 13/30 (43%) at 20/1+ going up.

McCarthy as in the ex Reading keeper? Remember him looking the part when he had a run in goal for them. He has hands like fucking shovels, saw him (with Bobby Zamora amongst others) in the Vegas airport lounge this summer. Huge!

Also on the flight out, (and seeing as he got a mention today in here) Dwight Gayle walked straight past us in Biz class and through to economy. He must be on £15/£20k a week you'd think, and there he was plodding past us Yorkshire peasants into coach class. Pretty sigh that that was the highlight of the trip Wink

Incred, seems they were all out there.

Got busted out by the young fella with hair like a washed-up-bird-in-an-oil-slick, who couldn't let go of KQ. Tis the Vegas nuts though tbf.

I presume gayle is either being loaned out or sold?

If so makes more sense as he is a like for like just not as proven as gayle is. For all his faults he has already scored big goals at this level not sure it is to wise to get rid of that unless he wants away

Don't know why Gayle isn't wanted at Palace. Would be a real coup for Bournemouth if they got him.
