Edging closer to the end-of-May target here.

Saw The Sicilian in Luton on Friday. Can confirm his never been buffer. Looks like a young David Hasselhoff.

Not a thread I've ever been involved in, but I'm on a bit of a health kick at the minute. Started with a % fat loss challenge at work Jan-April. 16 of us took part and I came 3rd.
Started out at 13st 9lb and 32% body fat
finished at 12st 3lb and 24% body fat

New target is 16% body fat by 1st July. Not bothered what the weight is at the end, but currently sat at 12st.

Cleaning up my diet was pretty easy. Cut out the crisps, chocolate, and alcohol. Balanced meals with sensible portions.

Joined the gym and am averaging 5 visits a week. I've got a routine I can be in and out in about 50 mins, so easy to fit in to my busy life;
5 mins warm up on bike

Roman Chair, 3x10 @ 12kg
Goblet Squats 3x10 @ 20kg
Leg press 3x10 @ 160kg

Chest press 3x12 @ 45kg
Pec Fly 3x12 @ 66kg
Seated row 3x12 @ 45kg
Lat pulldown 3x12 @ 45kg

Supers set 3x10 of;
Tricep body drops from bench @ Body Weight
Bicep curl @ 2x10kg (together and narrow)
Tricep Skull crushers @ 2x10kg
Bicep curls @ 2x15kg (individual by sides)

5 minutes rowing in intervals 30 secs steady, 30 secs full blast.

That's some fantastic work you've put in there, well done.

One word of caution that I'd impart as you aim for 16% body fat. The lower you go the harder it becomes to lose any more. 32% to 24% isn't too bad, 24% to 16% will be a lot harder. Where are you at now with 6 weeks to go?

The main concern would be setting the bar a bit too high. You've had a brilliant start and you expect it to continue but it really does get harder even if you put the same amount of work in. At some point you'll reach an equilibrium and you then have to decide whether to accept what you've achieved and maintain it or to push on and make further changes.

As long as you don't get disheartened if you don't succeed you'll be fine.

Just remember that your initial rate of loss isn't sustainable, if it was then you'd disappear from existence altogether in the next few years.....

Not sure where I am at the minute. I’ll take a measurement soon using the same scales at the gym I used for previous weigh ins for consistency.

Both the 16% and the date of beginning of July are soft targets to be honest. There was money on the challenge at work with a firm end date, so I gave that my full focus (£40 for 3rd, missed out on £80 for second by 0.2%, £160 for 1st was miles ahead. The lad smashed it).

I’m thinking about it as a permanent lifestyle change, rather than specific date/weight/fat targets. The way I see it, my body shape is the result of an equation. I wasn’t happy with the result I was getting so I’ve changed the input in terms of fuel, and the output in terms of exercise. Feeling a ton better in myself but won’t be disheartened by a slowdown in the numbers.

Will report progress when I take new measurements

% fat mass down from 27.9% to 24.8% and metabolic age down from 60 to 52. Currently stuck around the 14st5lb mark, so will have to stay disciplined in Vegas, which is easier sayed than done.

Haven't been to the gym since I finished with my PT 10 days ago, but have worked out at home a couple times.

Just booked in for 10 sessions, so I'll be there 4x a week for the next fortnight, and a couple sessions the week I fly.

The Sicilian isn't good enough to get into the WSOP. Just reps hands all the time with his tongue out.

I'm off there Monday marky. No full English at Heathrow +2 pints of Guinness this year. Tuna salad and tea ftw.

Gyms are included in the ripoff resort fee out there, so extra incentive to use them I guess.

Want my metabolic age to not qualify for senior tournaments by the time I fly home.

Probably going for Mr Olympia, so he can stare at men in thongs Cheesy

Ah, you'll be homeward bound before I get there, so won't be able to bring any of my money home.

I used to the gym last summer at the Nugget, but was shattered by the time I got to Cosmo.

Resort fees are just their way of limiting commission to the 3rd party mob. Smart business move by the, and as long as I like the price, I book.

I'll have your share of junk food as well then Wink
