Second wasn't too shabby either - M. Puel appears to have a certain je ne sais quoi..

Since the start of last season, Jamie Vardy has scored 11 Premier League goals against the 'big six' - five more than any other player.

Two cracking goals, and indebted to Spurs finishing very poorly (though quite what they were doing playing a high line against Vardy, not sure) Think they miss Aderweireld badly at the back

and (we'll take it)

That's one defeat in 7 now,Man C and encouraging signs that he is trying to morph the team into more of a passing style and whilst that is very much a work in progress it does potentially give us some more strings to our bow that soaking up pressure and always playing on the counter with no plan b

Quality result for us today I think. We’ve been looking tired in the last third of a game but today competed for 90 mins against a very underrated side.

What do you think of Simpson this season Tighty? For me he has been player off the season so far.

As for Mahrez and the custard bowl on his head - sigh!

firstly, what a barnet

Mahrez was unplayable yesterday, right back on it and presumably looking at the January shop window

Smpson is a very solid defender, never going to offer much going forward but with Mahrez in front of him then a defender first and foremost is what is needed there

When we won the title, he played very narrow almost as an extra centre back and nothing got by him. Amore traidtional role nowadays but still nto challenged for his place

As for the team thats W3 L1 under Puel

He's playing younger players, we had more than 50% possession yesterday and were better as the game went on.

A good start and some fresh ideas

Wilfred Ndidi vs Newcastle

1 assist
100 touches
75 passes
79% pass accuracy
2 key passes
2 dribbles
won 6 tackles
won 3 interceptions
7 aerials won

going to be worth a fortune

Ndidi is proving to be a really excellent acquisition and the squad look solid and very creative. A top seven position is highly possible - exciting times indeed!

Yoshida and Okazaki scored last night.

One to file away for pub quizzes, the first time that two Japanese players have scored for opposing sides in the history of the Premier League.
