How about an update on a couple of gnarly old veterans..
Donnacha O'Dea and JP Kelly.
Done, photos to follow imminently.

I arrived just as Donnacha was playing a tidy (15,000 or so) pot.
The board ran out.....
Donnacha bet the flop, got flatted, bet the turn & Matey Boy 3 bet him. Donnacha called, & it went check check on the end.
Donnacha showed.....
M. Boy mucked.
Moments later, the table broke.
We chatted for a bit, I mentioned you, & he said, with no further prompting that he has been trying to catch up with Tony Bloom for the last few days. I suggested he swerve Tony, he's a bit of a punter apparently. Best not mix with these edgy sorts.

Matthew just bled those chips, no big pots, just bits & bobs in various skirmishes with the enemy.
Think he has got a few back, this is his stack now.
I rally think this guy is special, nice chap, & very much a GIQ sort, too.

Tikay should have rubbed in his exit with at least two more questions about it.

I thought the only thing missing was tikay jumping on the comment about PLO to tell DNegs about his 25% ROI this summer.

Just for Keith, I'll try again. This was late in Day 2A, with just over one level remaining before stumps.
Late in Day 2, Matthew Ashton going along nicely
(Roughly 280,000)

A total of 1,847 players survived Day 1A and Day 1B and returned today to battle it out for five and a half more two-hour levels. Valentin Vornicu ends the day as the chip leader of the Day 2A/B field after chipping up steadily most of the day. He started Day 2 with 100,800 chips, had 375,000 at the dinner break, and now sits at 838,600. The California pro has an impressive eight WSOP Circuit rings under his belt, but is looking for his first bracelet to add to the jewelry collection. Vornicu has had four cashes in this year's WSOP thus far

Others still in contention include Antonio Esfandiari (327,400), Jon Turner (318,500), Antoine Saout (291,100), Melanie Weisner (280,000), Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier (278,200), Anthony Zinno (209,300), Greg Raymer (179,800), Matt Glantz (169,000), and Benny Glaser (167,800).
--
The surviving players from Day 2A/B will combine with those who make it through Wednesday's Day 2C. The combined field will restart for Day 3 on July 14 at 11 a.m.
