22 of 1477 are currently left in event 10 $1500 Six Max

A Spaniard, Javier Garcirreynaldos leads

not huge star power in those remaining. Fedor Holz was chip leader for much of the day but is near the bottom of the chip counts now

No Brits left

Simon Deadman cashed in 34th, the only UK player in the top 100

14 of 118 remain in event 11 the $10k Dealers choice

Adam Owen and Richard Ashby for the uK are listed 13th and 14th of the remaining players. Both were chip leaders earlier in the day, both have cashed again as they continue their never ending quest to play as many mixed game events as possible

Above then the likes of Jen Harman, Dan Smith/holla and John Monnette sit

Event #12: $565 Pot-Limit Omaha

this was described by Kev "gamblingpays" Allen as a "complete punter fest"

He min cashed for $890 or so but ended up -$1200 in the event as he "spent more time re-entering at the cage than i did playing hands"

Anyway 2483 entered and 80 remain

one of the many David Bakers, "ODB" sits second in the rankings at the moment

Richard Robinson from the UK sits 26th

I know Richard, he is from Manchester and plays on SkyPoker. can i remember his sky poker name? no i cannot. getting old

Stephen Woodhead is the only other Brit left in

UK Cashers

Robert Cowan
Fraser Macintyre of MET
Barny Boatman
Peter Charalambous
Ross Boatman
Kevin Allen
JP Kelly
Jerome Bradpiece

event 13 $1500 Razz, which sounds like an expensive gentleman's magazine from the 1990s

Kirsty, 23, a receptionist from Manchester would like to report the following

461 entered, 144 are left

All the big names are in this

Matthew Ashton currently listed in 12th

Around him in the chip counts lie Negraneau, Soulier, Kessler, Zinno, Shaun Deeb etc to give you a flavour of it

Stephen Chidwick appears to be the other Brit left in

Is that the same Kirsty who transcribed the F1 drivers press conference on TFT?

A certain Tod Wood will be playing that one (on behalf of BCPC) so will be trying to follow it. Fully expect him to win a massive hand with J6.

Having updated a few large field events in my time I'm firmly of the belief that you simply shouldn't bother with traditional hand updates for the Day 1s of these events. At the WSOP this could probably go for every Day 1 of any event <$2k that won't reach the money on Day 1.

You could use the resources in a more efficient way in my opinion by either

a) using them on more important events be it (i) An event that is playing Day 2,3,4 etc but not yet at the final table or (ii) An event with a higher buy-in, which is likely to also get a higher amount of traffic to your website. Sorry Camel, people care about Negreanu, and how he's doing, a lot.

b) root out some stories and do longer feature pieces, at the end of which you can put a paragraph or two about what's going on in the tournament, runners/chip leader/exits etc
I think at the WSOP this is perhaps more important as they don't use player ID cards (at least they didn't last year).
