They shut me down eventually though, unfortunately.

Poker is an odd little world where lots of people can't take the moral high ground and those of us who think we can decide not to, because you never really know who you're sitting next to.

Tikay, you've missed this advert while you've been away and I wouldn't want to deprive you of it...

I do wonder what happens at the meetings where adverts like this are discussed.

Mr Shoelace, you know media stuff. Do they just draw a load of scribbled slips out of a terrible ideas hat?

Yup, it's about a dreadful as it gets.

Oddly, I was reading a report about adverts such as these only this morning.

And here's the thing - there is a line of thinking which correlates "most annoying adverts" with "most recognizable/most memorable" & which therefore exactly perform what they are designed to do as to Brand recognition & awareness.

I imagine Argue will be giving it plenty of lolzz as to the Marketing Departments, but it's a fairly sophisticated & refined process these days. And it works, God help us.

This chap sent his best regards to Mr Camel.

Looking rather well, don't you think?

Had some hair work done surely? Good on him either way....

Not at all.  Go compare is an amazing brand that has worked off this guy in the ad's for over a decade now right?  Meerkat's are the same.  It must work otherwise they would change it.  No lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz from me here.  I only comment on areas i know about.  I know feck all about marketing campaigns for non gambling companies.

Not too much chat in evidence in the late stages of the $10,000 2-7 Draw Lowball.

You'll no doubt recognise Mr Lederer, and the young man in the foreground is Folkestone's finest, young Adam Owen.

Adam has just shy of 100,000, with the blinds at 1,500-3,000.

I used to play Adam Owen a lot at plo8/nlo8, but don't see him anymore.  Guess he just plays a lot of the other games these days.  There was a beautiful hand earlier in this where he 3 bet 77772 (no typo) and showed afterwards.
